You know those commercials where they cut stuff out? I HATE THAT! Like they air the same commercial, except they cut out a line! Stop it, please! I happened to like it the way it is! I know there are a lot of stupid commercials out there, but is it just me or do they only edit the ones you happen to like???
I'da said the Cr(a)p word but wasn't sure it was allowed.

Stupid is the word. Commercials are idiotic mostly. I dislike it when they cut out part of a commercial too. Don't these companies have to pay big bucks to have the commerical aired to begin with. And then they cut out part of it. Weird. I wonder if they get a check back in the mail.....lol

Even if they did get a check back, the cost to edit it.. I mean think about it, I bet it costs a pretty penny to edit the commercials too. What I don't like is it always seems to be the good commercials they edit. They don't ever edit the ones that are just stupid.

This is very true. Even with the age of DVR, people still opt to watch commercials sometimes! I don't have DVR here, but well when I did have DVR it was Pause and fastforward through most of the time..
Still, if it's a commercial I like I tend to stay and watch it!

I hate it when they cut that stuff out also. That is what made the commercial so great o begin with alot of times.

I watch t.v., but it's mostly the same shows. Now I am not home enough to sit and watch t.v. all day. Even when I am, i don't watch t.v. all day.

I agree with you, they always seem to cut the best part out, and then the whole thing is lame or doesn't even make sense afterwards. I'm sure it has something to do with money, so the shorter the commercial the cheaper the slot, who knows.

What I mean is when they air a commercial, then come back and reair it but it's different. If they're trying to save money that's not the way to go. I bet it costs a lot just to edit it and put it back on air.

That seems to be happening a lot more lately. Like someone isn't using the head on their shoulders when they're up there editing something. Either that or they think we're all too stupid to notice the difference. Once the mistakes been made, they just need to leave it. Imagine if they did this kind of cr@p with movies.

I don't see how they think it's a "mistake" though. I mean why would they cut out the best part? Just because they don't like it? That's where you get viewer opinions or statisitics. There's a way to tell who watches that commercial without even asking, I know there is.
In a way they do do it with movies. They show us the deleted scenes and if you watch the movie then the deleted scenes often times you're like "that scene would have been good in the movie"...
They also edit the movie for t.v. purposes from the theatre version, to t.v. airings of the same movie.
