Having a job is indeed a blessing. But many people gradually lose the enthusiasm to do their best in their jobs when discouraging scenarios pop up along the way. This makes the job dull, uninteresting and not rewarding. But to those who consider their job as their mission, they are most likely to persevere amidst varied circumstances. How about you? How do you consider your job? Share your ideas if you like...Thanks and God bless..

Hi! jerrymilds, you are right saying that we should make our job a mission. I am a nurse, when i was younger i dreamed of going abroad to earn much money. But my dream did not come true due to hindrances. Jobs for nurse at hat time were scarce and i decided to work in a non government organization working towards reduction of malnutrition in the Philippines. I tried to apply and i enjoyed my job though it entails going to remote areas it did not matter to me. I realized that through the organization, i could help children and parents too especially in depressed areas. At present i am connected to another NGO providing reproductive health services. I believe that these services are needed by women and children in order to have better health and better life. Though i am not properly compensated in this company, i enjoy working because i could see that i am helping my fellow women, their children and their family.

I salute you for being a missionary in your own way. Just like me, the kind of job i have now requires much of my time, skills, ability to cope with stress, etc. There are times that I am depressed because of too many requests but I then I remembered the time when I prayed earnestly to God to help me find a stable job and He gave it in the right time. That is why I just keep on disciplining my mind everytime i feel so weary..instead of grumbling i just thank the Lord for sustaining me.

That is right, God will bless us through other ways, in his time. You're still young, there are still more opportunities for you. Be positive.

I am working as a litigation clerk, I am handling Summons cases and liaise with all our clients. I am quite happy with my job because my ambition was to be a lawyer but because of some financial problem I can't further my study. I believe that if you love what you do, you won't feel stressed by the workload. Even though my boss is quite fussy but I managed to set it aside and concentrate doing my job. My mission in this job is to work for 5 years then apply to be a legal assistant.
