What do you think are the commandments of a successful married life?

I have seen various couple who were very happy and looks contented on the day of their wedding, then few years after, they ended up hating each other and worst is they opted to separate lives.. didn't they make a vow before God to love and to hold till death do they part? i also saw couples who lasted and even celebrated their golden wedding anniversary and still, you could feel the warmth of their love for each other. How do they keep the fire burning in their married life

When it comes to married life, I always remember the saying in the Bible that you have love one another as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her. This means that you have to love one another unconditionally or whatever the situation is. I believe this will help you have a successful married life.
