Shocking news? 50th Birthday of conjoined twins

Yes I saw them on a show several years ago and was so sad on how they live. Although they are functioning very well and even them cannot imagine ever being separated. They are women and very much functioning as well as they possibly can. I did not think they would make it to 50, but wow what a blessing indeed. Here is a recent picture of them.

Hi sureka, I don't know why you say "shocking" so much. These people are not shocking. They were born this way through no fault of their own and in spite of what must have been a very difficult life they have struggled to live their lives to the fullest. I applaud them. I'm sure I would never find the strength to succeed and survive as they have. I can just imagine how people have stared at them, called them names, made them feel as if they should be ashamed, called them fat or ugly. Humans can be so very cruel and shallow. I hope they celebrated their birthday in a wonderful way and with people who love and support them.

God made them special. For 50 long years they have lived as inseparable twins and am sure they feel as normal as any other human beings. A very happy birthday to them and hope there are many more birthdays to come.

Hi surekharathi In my opinion they really are fighters as they have survived for 50 years. We all should learn lesson from them as they are fighting with the world with this disability. Hats off to them. But they really have got courage. They also influence other people who lose their heart because if they are handicapped or any other disability . Hats off to them.

hello surekharathi, This is really an incredible news. God is really good all the time and this news make me think how lucky we are to be born normal in this world.50 years life longevity is quite long for conjugal twins.But they deserved it to let s celebrate for them as well.

I looked the pictures, but couldn't see an article to read. I had heard of these con-joined twins before. sometimes con-joined twins can be separated, but these two were in such a postion where an operation would not work. I have ssen other exapmples of con-joined twins that oculd not be separated. from what I can see, they are very happy and have lived a lot longer than what doctors thought. Still, all in all, I am in favour of separation if medically possible.

i don't think this is shocking and surprising news my friend. and i also do not think we have to pity them. i think i saw them in some tv shows and some news reports before. and with the pictures that i saw with the link that you gave, they seem to be very happy with their condition. they are special and we should also be happy for them and they live for 50 years already.

few minutes back i have came across that news. Its really so painful that how they are living from these many years. we have to inspire from them.

I was watching these ladies yesterday on our morning TV here in the UK. It was very sad to see them however they seemed to be very happy with their life.
