I'm looking for cute boots that are mid-calf or half-calf length (even possibly up to the knee) to go under jeans and dress pants. I'm looking for some kind of faux suede or leather (preferably faux, so it's cheaper!) in neutral colors like brown, black, grey, etc. I've been doing an online search for these kinds of boots (as they're seemingly impossible to find off-line it seems) and I'm drawing a blank. Literally all the CUTE boots I'm finding have some kind of 4 inch+ heel on them. I'm thinking, what the HECK?! I don't do heels and the combination of winterwear and any kind of heel just doesn't make sense to me. First of all, are you in the same boat as me? Do you have the type of shoes I'm looking for? Do you have any idea where to shop online (US) for cute boots?!

It took me a while looking through our stock to find any that don;t look like they're made for strippers, LOL This is the only one I found with a flat sole. http://www.journeys.com/product.aspx?id=197841

i so know what you mean. i dont wear heels because i have bad knees so flats are a must for me. last year i got a great pair of boots (but i am in canada so that wont help you). you are right though, winter and heels are just not a good mix.

I love wearing boots in winter, I have a few pares two of which have 10cm heels the other pair are flat but over the knee so they are not exactly what your looking for, but I typed in Flat Suede Boots and found these sites, they do seem pricey though http://www.shopstyle.com/browse?fts=flat+suede+boots http://www.nextag.com/flat-boots/stores-html http://www.famousfootwear.com/shopping/results.aspx?N=4294967251+6207 amazon has these cheap, but they may not be what your looking for http://www.amazon.com/Merger-Square-Knee-Boots-BLACK/dp/B004AODX3S/ref=pd_rhf_shvl_1 but if you which to find a specific boot, be as precise as you need too and do multiple searches with variations, sometimes wording may reveal the thing your looking for after it has been modified. Good luck.

Depends on what you need them for. Me.. I have loved boots all my life. Knee high boots..with a heel! For dress..they are great. Gotta have at least 3 inch heel. Now for under pants...unless they are dressy pants, a lower heel is okay. But if you want a boot like for walking, camping etc...go to a place like Bass Pro or Caleba's. They'd are sporting wear places and have nice ones.

Yes I hate those boots that have huge heels on them too! I can't wear them that high, apart from the fact that they make me feel that walking is uncomfortable, it also gives me a bad back walking with high heels like that.. they are not comfortable. I am in the UK, and I have bought boots online (brand new) from ebay, and they were perfect... no high heels on them. Have you tried that site? I hope that you can find some new boots soon :)
