Do you think that modifying the genes of the mosquitos will end the problem of dengue? What happens if you get bitten by a genetically modified mosquito? :)

i don't think so...because Dengue is cause by a virus, right?!it's not because of the mosquitoes genes. And even though you modified the genes of the mosquito if it bites a person with Dengue they can still pass that to others.;)

I guess it's human nature to be afraid or curious of something new like this newly introduced supposedly solution to dengue, the genetically modified mosquitoes. Of course there is still much to be known from this, as I too am really curious and scared as to what other effects this could bring, like another new outbreak? I wish they would first put more time to study on this and then introduce this to the public in very specific details, in a way that all could understand and should also include all views on it, positive and negative sides of it. Let the people learn about it first and let us decide.

I don't think so? What if genetic modified mosquitos ended dengue but other type of diseases occurred because of them. I believe eradicating dengue is a punch to the moon.

No, I don't think so. modifying genes of mosquito might be dangerous. They might turn into monsters. What happens if you get bitten by a genetically modified mosquito? I think this will be the same case as Peter Parker. He was bit by a genetically modified spider and he became Spiderman. In your case, you were bit by a genetically modified mosquito, so you become Mosquitoman.
