I like photographing. I usually take pictures of the scenery, animals and people ect, and choose some good pictures to print out. Last week I bought a very beautiful photo album and put the pictures in. It really looks great. Do you still print your pictures? Many people think it is not necessary as they can look the pictures in the digital camera or computer.

Not me, but my uncle still print the photograph since he's a professional photographer. Most of the time he print pre-wed theme photos for his client.

I am just an amateur but I like viewing the photo album. And what is the "pre-wed" theme photos?

Today I seldom print out our photographes. As today I will watch it from computer or I will make a photo album DVD. And I can play it from my DVD player and it is comfortable to watch it from TV. Just like watching a movie. So it is no need to print out the photographes. However, sometimes I will still print the photographes since not everybody have the computer. Some people still want to have the original photographes rather than the digital stuff. I love China

Yeah, thanks to the modern technologies, we have much more choices in nowdays. To some extent, video is more lively than pictures. For me, I just like the feeling of photographing. Thanks for sharing and have a good day.

I still get prints from some of my photos. Not all of them, but some of my favorites that I want to put in one of my scrapbooks, or to frame. I have made scrapbooks for each of the branches of my family, and memory books for those who have passed away. I do our families genealogy, and I intend for these to be passed along through the family. Also, I worry about how fast the digital media changes over the years. Hard copy photographs will always be here to enjoy, unlike other forms. I have VCR tapes of weddings, and all kinds of important events. VCR's are no longer used and I have no way of viewing these precious memories now except for the photographs that were took that day. We view things on big CD's now, yet they're changing formats to smaller ones, which means that pictures I have stored on them will probably have to be moved onto smaller CD's eventually. I have pictures that are from the 1800's that are still as good as the day they were taken, yet some of the things I've kept on CD's are already corrupted (scratches, errors, etc) and once they're 'gone' I don't have them anymore! I still like putting them in albums and scrapbooks because I know they'll last and stand the test of time!

Hey JoyfulOne, thanks for sharing your experience. I agree with you. Everytime when I take some pictures, I choose some beautiful ones and print them out, then sort them into three: people, scenary and animals. I am going to buy some more albums and put them in respectively. It is really a good feeling when view these pictures in hand, or share with family memebers and friends. I think it is similar as writting letters in hand. Sometimes it is essential to keep traditional ways though the technolocy develops.

Maybe you can still convert those VCR tapes to VCD or DVD.... When VCD start booming and become a new trend i convert all my VCR tapes to VCD so i can still watch it now. Today people who provide service to convert VCR tapes to VCD/DVD are rare but i think if you look hard enough you might find them...

Thinking about it, I rarely print pictures out. Maybe because I can see it anyway in the phone. But I'm planning to print 520 pictures to put in the handmade album my girlfriend made. :)

Sure it is. :) It is one of the most treasured things I have. She also gave me other stuffs. Like, draw anime characters I like, made a notebook and fill it with messages for me, a picture and note frame and so on.. All her own handmade. :) Thanks for the good luck. Hope you too. :)
