Hello All
Have you ever been in the same my situation?
I'm working at "Online Marketing Manager". I have worked by my best to popular my company's brand to customers. But my boss don't know what I worked.
Anytime I give suggestions with new marketing online plans and new tasks, I must explain him from beginning to being complete. I even must explain him about how to work or registering a new advertising sites etc...
He don't know how is a good result and a bad result. He can't appreciate results of the plans. So, my reports have become meaningless. I feel stress because this.
What can I do in this situation?

Hi! I think stress all we got when things were not right.
But I think, you should not be worry to much about work cause there is always a way to fix things. I suggest you to discuss it again to your boss from the start. Tell her/him How does it work, the advantages and disadvantages of your proposal. That's what I always do when I have something in my mind that I think that our company will benefit. And also ask him his opinion or there is something he want to be done and see in your work. Happy Mylotthing

I'm very bored because working here. When I was a new staff, I worked very much and I gave him many plans, methods etc... If the plans were successful, it's Ok. But if they were fail, all reasons are because me even the reasons were from outside. He didn't what were the reasons.

In your case, you should do a survey to seek the feedback from the customers.
By doing so, I believe you can find out the statistics of the customers who know about your company and the products because of your online marketing.
Then you can present this statistic to your boss for his awareness.
ha! ha! Never submit something which is not supporting you.
Good luck.

tkonlinevn,
Either you are working outside your boss's given job scope or he does not have any knowledge of what he is doing.
I believe the both of you will have to sit down and start talking to find out what the problem is or are here. On the other hand, you can always submit a written proposal on what you are planning to do - so that he can be fully aware of what you are doing and the result of your plans or project.
Simply put it - start communicating.

Yes I have had several jobs like this where my bosses were so unreasonable. I do remember one that I could sit and discuss in details what his expectations were so that I could cater all of my workload as he wishes. He was very reasonable after our discussions. But each time he had a new project it started all over again.
Some employers simply do not really appreciate our hard efforts and seem to always demand more and more from the employees. If he is not one that will listen then the only thing you can do is try to do things his way. Sadly with his no ration you will not know what that is if he is not expressing what his issues are, and instead it sounds like he enjoys venting off his stress off of you.

What you should do is to be better and do think too much about what your boss thinking. You just take them into actions and then i believe he would look at you with new eyes.Just try your best and if this is really doesn't work, then ,i think this maybe not the best position for you.Hope this will help.

It is so hard to be in that kind of situation. I have been there. If you can find a new job do so. You cannot have a good future in that situation. The situation will hinder your growth and lower yourself esteem.

Most of the bidding sites have timers you can use to show when you're working if the problem is how many hours you've worked. You can also get them as stand-alone downloads - they take screenshots of what you're doing and so on as proof.
If the problem is that the person doesn't understand the report, that's not really your problem. Terminology, sure - you can explain that - but if you've provided what was required and they don't use or understand it, it's not your problem.
If you're continuing to work for them, you'll need to figure out what their problem is and see if you can find a way to come to a mutual understanding. If he doesn't see the difference between a good and bad result, perhaps he needs a document that explains your metrics?

It seems that your boss doesn't know much about your work .I wonder how he became your boss . It is always disappointing for employees to work for someone that has no idea what his staff are up to . Yet i don't have any suggestions about this except leave your boss alone . At least you know what you do and appreciate your achievement by yourslef .
