Which one should be reset? Modem Router or Renew IP from PC?

Hello all,i'm work in office alongside my fellow colleague We using wi-fi for connection through internet Imagine,when sometimes you're doing work and at the same time,you download something from the internet suddenly other colleague having problem and cant connect to the internet,so she goes to the router device and reset it,then my download progress that was almost 100% gone at at all..its so frustrated. Can the connection be repair from every pc? What the problem of can't connect through internet? The router or the PC? Help me please.if can be repair from PC,i just want to scold my colleague next time she try to reset again the router while i'm in downloading progress gahhh thanks all
