I have seen many parents share their meals with their child means they are taking food in one plate. Sometime husband and wife also share their meals means they are eat food in single plate..But my husband not share their meals or plate with me...
But some people not like this habit and they want to eat alone their meals in separate plate but I think if we share our plate with family members then we can eat one more extra chapatti..What you think I am right and it is good habit or you dont want to share your meals with anybody.

Yes I am a very sharing person especially when it comes to food. I would promplty get another clean plate and share my food with anyone before me. I have shared my plate and or my boyfriends plate together depending on the circumstances.
For instance we are somewhere and maybe not so hungry so we don't mind just buying one plate of food and sharing it amongst the both of us. Usually we do have separate plates but would not mind sharing some of my own food with my kids and or boyfriend. As for sharing with just anybody, yes but not from the same plate. I would not mind pouring some of my own plated food onto another to share with someone else.

We usually eat of our own plates. Sometimes we will share a plate if one of us isn't particularly hungry or if we just feel like it.
We often share a plate with our son, because he is too young to eat an entire serving of some foods, so he just eats off our plates.

Hi fanta!
Sharing meals in one plate is a matter of choice and convenience. Initially, when my parents used to stay with us (after my marriage) me and my wife used to take our meals in one plate and we used to enjoy it. However, now a days, if she is serving hot 'chapatis' to me, it is not possible to eat together. Now we take our meals separately. However, on working days during lunch break me and my three colleagues eat our lunch together and enjoy various dishes.

I read Surekharati's response after submitting mine and this prompted me to add - in marriages and other functions, me and my better half would share our meals in one plate.

Hey friend how you doing..?
Nice discussion once again!!!
I am with you friend i'm fully agree with you. My father and me usually take the meal in the same plate takes chappati(roti) in one plate if, i take less chapati my dad force to eat one more so i have to take it no other options for me my father doesn't let me go until i haven't take one more chapati. Yeah it is good habit to share the meal and it also creates a nice/lovely environment in the family having get together while taking meal.
Your husband is so lucky having wife like you...

We do it sometimes. I and my husband together with my 3 years old kid share a big plate during breakfast or dinner. It's good to do it sometimes but it's not going to be appropriate if we do it every meal.

Hi
We like sharing food when we gone for holiday or picnic. We enjoy all our meals together. Even we share our food at home sometime. But its rare. Generally I eat with my family but not in a single plate . But as i mentioned during holiday every thing is allowed.

I think a parent can share a plate with her little kid. But when they are already grown up, they wouldn't want that. They would want to have their own plates and shares of whatever food there is at the table.
We could be happy even without sharing one plate, as long as you are all together in the table eating.

Yes you are right in when the kid is ready to share in small age but when they grown up not ready to share their meal.. yes this is also a good way at least eating together..in one table..

I love to share my meal with every human and most of the time with my family and this is not enough I love to share my earnings as well with those who are seeking for any kind of help. I don't know why but I am sharing my meal and wealth as it is my duty to serve the humanity. May Allah give me more strength and courage to keep it continue. Amen

I can't eat alone I always have to share my food with my son if I don't go give him son of my food it will make me feel a bad mother.
And my husband is the same he always share with me.
I think is a good habit because as much you share less you eat and less pounds you gain.

I share my meals with my family, especially if there is something on my plate that I don't like to eat, I simply just scoop it out and chuck it on my parents' plate. At restaurants or those "all you can eat" places, we would grab a huge plate with lost of food and share it because we can't finish it on our own. I share food with friends too if the plate of food is too big and we half the cost. I like sharing food, but if it's something I really like then I'm going to be a little selfish and have it all to myself.

Hi, fantabulus. We all have our own plate to eat off of. We don't share meals together at all. I have given my kids a taste of my food off of my plate though. My husband has given me certain foods off of his plate that he does not want though. I don't think that it is a good habit to share food all of the time, because someone may have a cold, and another family member may catch it. This is one way that germs can be spread.

Hi Fanta, whenever i attend any party, i will share my food with my son. I need to share my food with my son, so he will at least want to eat something in the party. So usually at party time, my plate would be a little bit more, since it is for two person. If at home, usually everyone of us will be eating from our own plate.

I think this is a beautiful practice. I always do that. Well, we have to face it. All of us will be getting older. Moments like these will always make time memorable, and will be remembered for always.

There are different situations where sharing meals to famil members and relatives are applicable. There are also situations where you cant share foods in 1 plate.
