do you make sure a work assigned to you is done before the dealine?

I am also working with such a tough time work scheduled office. Now it is the time of filing the return of the companies and many are working over night. We are a group of 150 above staff and having a ratio of 50:50 in girls and boys. Many were used to sit late like 2:00 am or above and will leave the office 3:00 am and all. Every year for 2-3 months this a typical job and all will contribute their work together. Just like our group, there are 5 or 6 other groups also there with similar jobs. many are used to do late night works and are very dedicated people do complete the job, like you. In my case also not so different. I had a tough and challenging work for the last 2-3 months and I completed so successfully. In fact the people who were doing the job gone for study leave for 30 days and another person become ill due to jaundice. I was totally new to the new job and the system of work that they were doing. All were related to invoicing and there were so much of mess up in the work and which was to b completed by last day of August. I completed all the pending works, duplicates were rectified, major issues were resolved and almost 90% job were done successfully. So, completing a job before the deadline is a thrill for me and whatever comes to me will always complete in time and give an output more than whatever they (seniors) expected. As I am doing the same job for the last 10-15 years, I am so much confidence in my work and I am happy that all the staff member used to appreciate my work and they used tell me that if they give some job in my hands, there is no need for a further review. It is a kind of pleasure and we will always motivated to do more and more if we are getting support from our seniors and other staff. I hope you will complete your assignment in time and if still not yet completed, have a break and go for sleep and continue tomorrow. hi churchill!!! yes, i try my best to meet the deadlines at work. in my last performance evaluation, that was a key area that was up for improvement. i've had projects and reports that i wasn't able to submit on time and it didn't looked well on my part. anyway, i've worked on it after the performance review and i can say confidently that nowadays, i'm able to meet deadlines more consistently. most times, i'm able to submit reports and complete projects days before the agreed deadline. anyway, i hope you were able to finish with the notes for your meeting. a five hour meeting with ten points in the agenda ain't no joke. good thing you were able to stay awake during the meeting. lol! i would have dozed off myself. our meetings usually last an hour tops. don't get me wrong, meetings are productive but overly long meetings are counter-productive in my opinion. long meetings = cheers!!!

I hope you have a recorder when you go into the meeting because with out its so hard and to remember it all doesnt usually work either. With a recorder you just listen to it and write down or type up the minutes and it goes by pretty quick you just have to make sure you have everything correct and typed up the way it should be of course. Its not that hard but takes a while with a long meeting like that one. My bosses have asked me to get all the filing done each week before i leave and sometimes i dont know if im working till thursday or friday so i try to get it all done on thursday before i leave and then fridays if im working it goes rather quick and easy then im not worrying about other things that day that need to probably get done as well.

hi, yes of course,i will make it sure that i will finish all reports and check it before i submit it to my boss,coz one time i rushed one of my report and didn't check it before i submit it,my boss found out that there were some errors,and i dont want to happen that again,so before the deadline i surely finish it and to check it.

hi, of course yes, i will assure that all work or task given to me with my boss will done before the due date or deadline of it,and those task usually are reports and need to consolidate them all,sometimes i need to extend my hours to stay just because i need to finish them all.

it's actually good to do that as long as you're compensated in doing that but if not I'm not sure if I have the guts to do that. There are times that I'm also running out of time doing my tasks.You're such a good employee. Keep up the great job..

I usually scramble around to finish things. I am terrible to get things done before hand to avoid this stress. But I have always been like this. There has never been a time in my life that I have stayed on top of things or ahead of things. The only thing that I am good at with deadlines and time is being early always for appointments.

I don't like bringing the work home. For sure, I'll never finish it. When I'm at home, I'll probably just slack off and procrastinate until the next day. I'm not that diligent at home. LOL

when i was still a student i usually finish projects before it is needed even until now i always have that habit to finish any task before the deadline. i hate the feeling when i cannot reach the deadline. i am a deadliner type of student but i always see to it that i finish the task before the day so if it ask for me not to sleep i would go for it and finish it anyway it's my fault that it happened.
