Woke Up Screaming, Then Started Laughing...

...thank God it was just a dream. OK it wasn't the worst nightmare I could have had, but it was definitely something. I dreamed that I won $70,000.00 on one of those instant scratch tickets. For whatever reason, I gave it to my husband to hold onto. Not sure why, I guess my wallet was full. Anyway, in the dream, he was emptying the receipts etc. out of his wallet, and accidentally put my winning ticket in the paper-shredder before we had a chance to go to the lotto office in Toronto to collect the money. I woke up screaming when I thought we'd lost $70,000.00, but I felt a lot better when I realized that it never actually happened. Any strange dreams?

I remember picking up a lot of cash and putting it in my pocket and as soon as I woke up, I search my pockets only to be disappointed and slapped to realization.

Yes, and sometimes, I would really go back sleeping just to try to get back to the same dream.

Once, many years ago, I won it big on 6/49... I was jumping up and down, hugging my friends, saying "This must be a dream, it's gotta be a dream." It was. Sigh. Sometimes, there's laundry in the toilet. Last night it was only a towel (half in) and a face cloth. Other times, there could be quite a bit of clothes. I have no idea what it means.

hidanishcanadian I know how you felt. I dreamed this and it was so real. I was back on our old farm in South dakots, seems in the dream Itoo k my husband back there to show him our old farm. of course in the dreams it always makes sense, the fact that the fram was sold to someone else years before did not enter into the dream. I was showing him the orchard when I found this tree that was not like any o ther in the orchard. oh my G it had twenty and forty dollar bills, now never mind there is no such thing as a forty dollar bill lol. I yelled at my husband to bring me a b ox any king of box so he handed me this large Kleenex box so I picked as many as I could get into this box, oh boy we were going to be able to buy all the things we could not afford. then I heard my son calling "Mom what on earth wake up you are having a bad dream" and I woke slowly still believing I had the money. I opened my eyes,I was holding that old beat up Kleenex box but I screamed " wheres the money Robbie what did you do with the money?" He looked at me his eyes wide" mom you were just oh my it took several minutes to come clear awake and realize what a bizarre dream that was. My son laughed when I told him about the dream. "Mom there's that old saying money does not grow on trees.by the way why are you holding that old box of Used Kleenex?" We both laughed again as I threw it in the trash on my that dream seemed so real. but he was right money does not grow on trees. sad but true.

LOL it's one of those times where we can say "what a pity it was just a dream" and then at the same time " I'm so glad it was just a dream " hehehe I don't think I ever had a dream about wining any lottery. I used to dream that I found a coin on the floor and as I bend down to pick it up there was another, and another, and so many more. But them every time I would pick it all up, it turned out to be marbles. It was always marbles! I was starting to hate marbles LOL Sometimes I have pretty strange dreams, but never about wining something - I guess my brain Knows I won't be wining anything soon :)

I don't remember my dreams very often but recently had one where a friend of mine and I were working together again....it was eerie....I am going to visit her in a couple of weeks...so maybe that's why I was dreaming of her...and we were still working together and that is where we met. At work 26 years ago!

I am so happy for you that it was just a dream! The strangest dream I have had (well I have had 2 that I can recall)...the first was when I was living in Rockhampton going to college...I dreamt that I walked to the local shopping mall which turned out to be my local one from Brisbane! The other I had almost a year ago & dreamt that I was being held down...I acutally woke myself (& my hubby) up screaming get off me! There was no one else in the bed with me but my dog (hubby was sleeping in the spare room because our daughter at the time had a bad habit of crawling into our bed & not leaving enough room for us lol.

I'm glad it was just a dream. No strange dreams here. I don't often remember my dreams.

Most of my dreams are strange. Thankfully, the ones I've had recently haven't fallen into the category of "nightmare." I dream a lot about traveling... or of fleeing. The other night, I had a dream about zombies. It wasn't actually a nightmare--just a dream about waves of zombies rising up and my friends and I (or, at least, the person I was in the dream) having to flee them.

lol, that's funny. It's funny that it would wake you up. I've never had a nightmare so bad that I've woken up screaming. I've had dreams that I've woken up from and been relieved that they were just dreams. I can't count the number of dreams that I've had where I'd forgotten some vital piece of homework or paperwork and was therefore doomed.

Yea I had a dream too. Not like that one but I had dreamed about going to my favorite place every summer, to the beach resort in Mexico. My dad started heading out and had picked me and my mom up from wherever we were and started heading out. Assuming that it was halfway getting there we realized that we didn't even packed up so we had to come back home and after like in dreamed it had fast forward to almost getting to the beach resort and I was already planning what I wanted to do until my alarm clock rang, I was like dang it. I wonder why we have strange dreams sometimes. Like how when I dreamed that my friend had lived a few houses down from me, or just because someone buys a house and decides to move, the person who sold him that house has to move back to the house. I don't know haha

Last night I dreamed I was in a hallway of mirrors, and when I looked, half of my jaw was hanging off of my face. I was able to "pop" it back in (because apparently I can do that in a dream) and I stepped out of the hallway of mirrors right into a plastic surgeon's office.

That's funny. Good thing it was just a dream! Last night, I had a strange dream, too. I was texting and texting and texting a friend, wondering where she was. (This friend is a single girl). And, she kept replying "I'm with (Name of Guy)." to ALL my texts. I don't know a with that name. So, I texted her this morning and asked, "So, who is (Name of Guy)?" I was laughing because I know she'd be confused. Well, she says, he doesn't know anyone with that name, either. So I tell her, I'll find that guy and introduce him to you!

i would also feel the same, if i have a dream like that! Imagine winning $70,000.00 and your husband accidentally put it in the paper shredder to shred! I would have screamed myself and be angry with my husband and maybe slap him for it. Good thing, it's only a dream my friend. Had it been true, you would have divorced your husband.
