What do you think? when we are so much younger, we are idealistic, we of course know for sure what is clearly the truth, its either black or white.. and there is of course no in betweens.. but then we'd grow up and we'd be part of the adult world... solely relying on the possibilities of life ahead of us.. great dreams... etc... and here comes a group of rich people bending the truth.. does not matter whose life gets ruined, etc.. we see this all the time just about everywhere right?
so do you think if you are rich and powerful most especially, you can bend the truth?

I believe that anyone can have the ability to bend the truth to their liking. the rich and powerful often will have more means and opportunity to do so. Not everyone who has great wealth and prestige seeks out to bend the truth, /sometimes a condition or situation arises that presents that opportunity and anyone can take advantage of it or pass it by.

aha! you have said it well. i mean you are correct maybe we all have bent the truth anyhow and anytime we feel the need to do so, but it is just the rich and the powerful who can bend it with more means because they can always use their influences to work and help them.
thanks to you for your response.

If i am rich and powerful, i wouldn't do that. God has given me riches and power, so i should be very thankful of that already. The only way that i can express my thanks to Him is to do good and see to it that the truth will always prevail.

In our society today, bending the truth comes with a price. And with that, only the rich and the powerful can afford. The rest of humanity will just lag behind and hope that FATE will spare them. Let's face it, however idealistic we would like to view our world is, the tendency is reality often finds its way to bite us in our as$!
But on the other side of the coin, personally, I always see the lighter side of things. Life becomes bearable when you look at it that way, right?

Well they do have the resources to put out certain things there that can be interpreted as the entire truth. There are rich people who I would imagine hide some less than appealing things regarding them. Still when you really think about it, there are people who are going to have the power to further shield the truth from their lies.
We do in fact have the ability to bend the truth if we have the resources to do so. Well we shouldn't, but we do in fact have the ability to bend said truth and really do something that will make everything quite a hazy subsection of reality. There are a lot of rich people out there that try and hide whatever they are doing. Some are just better for getting away with it.

You ask: do you think the rich and powerful can bend the truth? My answer is: Yes, they do. I don't think that I see it every where around me.
I am still idealistic if it comes to the truth. there is no in between, truth is truth a lie is a lie. It has partly to do with how you are raised as a kid but more with my character and experiences. I just can't stand people who lie and I can't stand people either who teach their kids they have to speak the truth but if the kids do so they are angry. It's clear to me people don't like to hear the truth at all. And it's also clear to me that those who lie and cheat are the most rich and famous people in the world.
You are not really popular if you speak the truth.
I won't change if I get rich (if you are rich you are powerful anyway but it doesn't mean you have to use or should I say: abuse it) and I would not bend the truth.
If I am rich there is no reason to do so I already am what I am and that is fine enough. Being in the centre of all attention is something you have to like too.
BTW: also poor people can bend the truth and get that way everything they want (just keep on cheating and complaining)
