More and more people nowadays tell themselves they are either too old, too busy, or just can't do anything with their lives. Taking risks is what life is about. When you want something you just have to go for it. Don't stop yourself. Do what you love. If you let your mind and or your imagination stop you from doing so much, then you're literally just wasting your life. Even elderly people are doing a lot. If the money situation impedes you from so much, it doesn't matter. Get out and do something. If you can take a trip somewhere exotic and adventurous, not just stay at the hotel in the pool and spa for the whole trip. Invite friend's over and start a hobby with them. When there is at least one other person there to give you that push, you can do anything. If it's with your husband/boyfriend even better. Do something that he'll love as well. Life is more than just working and taking care of your family. Live out loud and feel free.

I agree. We should live out loud or else it will be silent. It's okay if we are not loud, as long as we still speak our minds and be happy about it.

I totally agree. You have to have that zest in life. Don't go through life by just living it out, find happiness in it and do extraordinary things. Don't let fear hinder you, if you know you want it, do something about it. We need to keep reminding ourselves that there is hope for something better. :D

That is most certainly true. I look at life like there are really no rules on what we can and can't do.....except for moral rules. If you i want to go skydiving, why be afraid of heights when i can conquer heights and make them afraid of me. My favorite thing to say is "Live, Laugh, and Love." and that is how life should be looked at. Well all need so danger/excitement in life!

Great topic...welcome to myLot
You absolutely have the right attitude!! Too many people become discouraged and depressed making excuses why they can't do certain things. They need an 'attitude adjustment' and instead of reciting what they can't do, everyone needs to look for what they can do. Life is too short to waste time worrying about
weaknesses when there is still so much they can do with the[r strengths. As long as one is alive, they can do positive things.

Bravo@ Great to read this. I always wonder why so many people start living at the moment they know they will die soon.
I always learned to save for later, later you can do .... but the thing is NOW is later already. You have to live now not later. For many there is no later at all.
Most of us are not used to take risks anymore because we are raised that way. We are used to all kind of insurances (dutch people have the most insurances of all they say).
I learned that if you really want something the money/opportunity for that will come. So also the exotic vacation (and I don't care if I can't stay in a spa or 5 star hotel).
The only thing you need to do is change your priority list. It's up to you if you live (out loud) and decide to be happy or you stay inside, complaining how unfair it is others are able to do so many great things and you are not.

I love this post! It reminds me of a quote I ran across on the internet. There was a picture of a grown man jumping up and down on the bed. A quote was written behind him that read, " How old would you be if you didn't know how old you are?".
It is like we mold our behavior to coincide with what is expected of us at that age. For example, when my mom turned 40 years old, she cut all her hair off! Family members was telling her that she was too old to have long hair!!!!!!!!!
I couldn't believe it! It was the silliest thing I have ever heard!
