I would prefer dog.. As they say dog is a man's best friend. Dog is very sweet, every time you got home, they love to kiss you and near with you. I feel very relaxing when I'm playing with my dog.

having pets is just like having kids. they need to be fed and cleaned and disciplined to be good members of the household. yes you're correct ... a dog is very sweet. they love to kiss you and play with you but it takes a lot of work and a lot of patience and love on the part of the owner to teach them how to behave. a pet; either a cat or a dog; could be a danger to others if they are not properly trained and maltreated or abused. so before choosing which pet to have...a pet dog or a pet cat...better to ask yourself this question first...will i be a responsible owner to this pet?

Man best friend dog sounds very nice but I am less happy when they are dirty carpet, or ruffled garden....

I would pick a dog to because they can be taught tricks and they also play with their owner. They run around and also defended their owners. The thing I like about my dog is whenever she hears my brother or me coming from work or school, she starts running to us because we are the ones who play with her a lot.

When I was a child we only had outdoor cats.We tamed them and played with them some outside, which was kinda' fun for a kid.And for some reason I was afraid of dogs till I was about 8 or so. After I got over my fear of dogs my mother got a small poodle and a few years later I got 2 of my own.One was a small hound dog and the other was a large black shepherd mixed with a chow.I liked all dogs except my aunt had 5 chihuahua's.YUK!They snapped at my ankles all the time.I didn't like them. And just about every chihuahua that I have ever met since then has snapped at my ankles.Errrrr! Then my boys got these 2 indoor cats. They were not friendly and one would not use the litter box, which I cleaned every day.Instead he would us my laundry basket. We moved and luckily the owners of the house would not let us have pets and so we had to give the cats away. My sister had a wolf hybrid that I dearly loved and when my youngest son grew up he had a boxer. He too had to move into a place that did not allow him to have pets and he had to give the dog away.I miss that dog very much. Maybe I will get a place soon that we can have a dog and I can get him back or another dog.....but not a chihuahua! And certainly not a cat.

I prefer dogs by a long way. they are cleaner (don't go to the toilet in the house or walk with those same feet on worksurfaces) more affectionate. and again. they go to the toilet outside of the house. whearas cats go to the toilet in the house or in a neighbours freshly dug garden. I am fed up of finding cat poo in my garden while I'm digging. shouldn't cat owners have to pick up after them too?

We've always had dogs and cats around the house. I've always loved dogs, they're sweet, loyal and playful. Cats are nice too. They're just more refined, graceful but moody. I'd love to have a dog in my apartment but since im out most of the day it would be more ideal to have a cat instead.

The diffrence between cats and dogs exept the obvous one ofcource :) is that dogs think "the man is taking care of me he feed me he must be god",the cats think "the man is taking care of me he feed me i must be a god".This is fact BTW and i didnt like someone to think about them self that "oh i am the big daddy, the big shot here obey me" :) so the answer is dog.

I prefer dogs.Cats are only there for food when dogs are there as friends or family.Dogs are more loyal. They will protect you even if it costs their life.I watched it from tv.Cats stay with you only because you take care of them.Dogs are there because they want to take care of you.
