In Denmark Ms.Helle Thorning-Schmidt led Social Democrats won the general election. She will be the first woman Prime Minister of Denmark. In Germany Chancellor is a woman and few other European countries have and had woman Prime Minister. In Asia there are some women Prime Ministers. USA is one of the largest democratic States of the world. Till now in America no woman President is elected. In the last election Ms.Hillary Clinton was a possible candidate for President. But at last the Democrats choose Mr.Obama as President candidate. I doubt America has reservation to elect a woman as the Head of State.

Hillary, one of the most corrupt politicians in American history? That Hillary? If the best chance for a woman president, is one that scummy, that corrupt, and that self-absorbed....... Then with all due respect, may the USA never have a woman president!

Hi andy, I did not hear Hillary is a corrupt politician. So far I know she is a talented lady. She has every quality to be a President. When she was the first lady she never loose her patience regarding Monika's affair with President Clinton.

Hello bhanusd. When we elected John F Kennedy for president it was said we would never elect a catholic because he would be controlled by the Pope. Well we elected a catholic and did great. Now 48 years later we elected a black man for president. When the right strong woman comes along we will vote her in as president. Not because she is a woman but because she will be the right person for the job.

I am so glad to know that Denmark's wonderful news has gone all the way around the world. As you can see by my name and my avatar, I'm half Danish, and half Canadian. I wish I was in Denmark right now. We had a female prime minister here in Canada, and I think we are definitely due for another one. I think it's high time America gets a female President, and my American husband agrees with me.

Hi, none can deny her or his root. You are not half Danish. You are 60% Danish and 40% Canadian. I hope soon America gets a female President.

between the choice of having the first woman president and first african-american president, i would go for the first african-american president. i always think that america is very capable of electing its first woman president. it is about time. and there are very qualified women in the US who can lead the country. in ten year's time, i imagine that the US will have its first woman president.

Hi mensab, you can't say President Obama is an African-American. You are giving preference to man. Obama's father is African but his mother is a white American. Obama is of mixed blood. I would be happy if a pure black origin African becomes America's President.

Whenever the voters are ready to vote for a strong candidate/ contestant regardless of gender. That right moment will ultimately arrive in our foreseeable future. A strong president can come from either sexes with convincing argument, positive view and strong character.

I will say majority of American voters will want a candidate who is intelligent, strong, possess good moral values, and has a thorough understanding of issues affecting the nations and the world to become their president, whether it is a male or female is not an important factor to them, if there is a strong condidate that come along tomorrow, she will have a potential to become the next U.S president too. The majority of us don't vote for a candidate just because he has an African ancestry , or just because she is a woman, or an Asian American etc... the candidate need to possess more than just belogn to one group of people in order to get elected as U.S president. Of course there is a small percentage of hard core American voters who will vote for a specific trait in a candidate only like base on race, gender or even skin color for their own personal reason, but majority of them don't see this as the main reason for their votes. I am sure you will get to see a woman president in U.S during your life time.

I am hoping you don't give your vote to a candidate just because she is a woman, or a white man , or lesbian etc...while voting in your country's presidential election. I am sure you will demand your favorite candidate to posses more talent and knowledge in order to sit in the highest office of the land instead of just because she is a woman, that will be a disaster for your country.

I wish we would elect a woman president. But its coming, maybe not this election but soon. I just hope we get one who can help put our economy. That's what we need. Someone dedicated to bringing in more jobs. I don't care if its a woman or not. But it would be awesome if it was.

There are some I'd vote for, some I wouldn't, but the fact she's a woman wouldn't motivate me one way or the other.

Hi Bhanusb, I don't believe that America is against having a woman as president. I think that many would love to see a woman voted in. I know that I would but I'm not going to vote for just any woman just for the sake of having a woman as our president.

Yes, I do think that we have plenty of women that would make amazing presidents but the thing is, they have to present their views and run for president in order to be elected. I am sure that if a woman ran for president that presented herself to show that she had the qualities and strength to run our country that she would stand a decent chance of getting voted in.

I think the US is ready for a woman President. What a wonderful role model a woman President would be for girls. I hope the US elects a woman president in my lifetime. I think having a woman as President would go a long way toward improving America's image internationally.

I do not care if we have a female president in the US or not. I do care that, first, we have a legitimate president, which currently we do not. Anyone who wants to be president should first meet the proper qualifications for eligibility. He/she should be of high moral character and knowledgeable as well. Right now in the US only "liberal" airheads of the female persuasion are considered worthy of office. Conservative women are mocked, maligned, and bashed for their hairdos and the way they dress. That's unconscionable. But, really, it's their committment to God and country that liberals hate. That's just how liberals are. Then, again, there's crazyhead Nazi Pelosi....liberal, insane,("first pass the bill, then read it.") lying, and criminal in her ways. Unfortunately such crazies often have much money and can buy their way in; our system is anything but perfect. She is a prime example of why certain females should never be allowed to hold office, just like "madam" "Call me Senator" Code Pink darling, Barbara Boxer.

Hi epicure, how can you say your present President is not legitimate! I think America's people are not fool to elect a worthless President. Your present President was elected by the majority people's will. You should honor the majority people's view.

bhanusb, Sad to say you are thoroughly wrong. We do not have a legitimate president and a "majority of people's will" cannot make an unqualified candidate legally president. They were and are both deceived and ignorant. No one should "honor" what is wrong. Righteous people are concerned for truth and justice. We could not make Mickey Mouse president even if 100% of the people voted for him BECAUSE HE IS NOT QUALIFIED TO BE PRESIDENT. But, even he is more qualified than Obama/Soetoro/Dunham/Soebarkah, since Mickey is an American creation. Obama is not an American; in the family tradition of "illegal alien" uncle Omar, Aunt Zeituni, represent the kind of criminal that sits illegally in the WH. Even his stolen SS# will not pass E-verify.

hi bhanusb being a president doesn't choose to be a girl or a boy but for curiosity maybe it depends upon the voter's whom they will elect, maybe having a women president you can see how she manage the country and you can compare it to the past president.

Hi ckciasigurl, we are not getting a chance to compare. A woman President may prove better than a man.
