My Husband's Mom was taken away in an ambulance.

His brother called to say that he had called an ambulance for her. The Doctors ran some tests and they believe she had a stroke. The night before a heart attack and a year ago, a stroke. She's paralyzed on one side and having difficulty breathing. They took her off the ventilator after awhile so she is doing better. But the Doctors think she'll never regain conciousness.
My poor husband. Two of us. His Mom and his Wife.

Aww, the poor lady, I hope she does regain conciousness. I hope all goes as well as things can be.
Are you a close-knit family?

AMy husband, his brother, and she were. I wanted to be, but she was such a heavy smoker. The worse my breathing became, the harder it was for me to go visit, so I had to stop. I saw in the hospital because they have no smoking in them now.

OH, my poor dear, writers..my sincerest condolenses to you..and your darling husband! I truly hope, the dear Lord does NOT enburden both of you with more than you can cope with! His burden is huge, he must be a real trooper! May God speed, and bless you with the tools to get you thru this heavy time. You are in my prayers and hopes. Plenty of warm thoughts and hugs sent your way!

That is such a shame. Does this run in the rest of the family? The poor guy! So she is basically in a coma? How awful. Was she ailing at all before this happened? I am sorry to hear of this happening more in your family. Your husband needs some TLC and thought right now I think.

Oh my God I am sorry to hear this as well, your poor husband must be very overwhelmed with grief. I hope a miracle can happen here and that she can once again be able to hear how much she is loved. I will continue prayer writeredge, or you, your mother-in-law as well as for you husband who will need a great deal of strength.

When we had illnesses in my family it seemed like it was a whole series, just like this. I am glad that his brother is there to help look after what his mom needs and it is not all on him. I imagine this is extremely stressing right now for him. I will pray for him and you.

I am sorry for his loss and yours as well, but I feel that if she was not going to wake up again, she would have wanted it this way.

It was best. She would have had no quality of life if she had awakened.
Thank you for your condolences.

Yes, sometimes many things happen at once and it is difficult.
