Laurell K. Hamilton's Anita Blake series.. if it were a movie?

Ok, so I was just discussing with my best friend about this. We are huge fans of the book series, and we were thinking about who would play the parts of the characters if they made a movie.
So, just for fun, who do you think would be the perfect fit for the rolls of characters such as Anita, Jean Claude, Richard, Jason, etc?
Post pics too so we can all see who you think would be the best.

I just started this series, and i am not getting a clear picture of one particular actor or actress for each of the characters. For a while, I was thinking a young tom selleck for Richard, but I am not longer feeling that that is the right person for the part. I will have to read more and actually think about it.

I was thinking more along the lines of if the movie was being made right now, and current actors and actresses. For me I think either Michelle Rodriguez, Eliza Dushku, or Kate Beckinsale to play Anita Blake.

Of those, I would stay away from Eliza Dushku, just because of her experience playing a Vampire Slayer on the Buffy series. I would personally keep thinking of her as Faith at least for the first part of the movie. I really like Michelle Rodriguez in the role.

I really don't know who would be best, but I agree with Eliza Dushku for Anita's roll. But a part of me hopes there won't be a movie. I'm just scared that they would ruin it. I prefer the books!
