Did you have a relationship with someone younger than you?

age gap is not a big deal as long as it is not very wide where intentions will be questioned, or doubted. but back to the question, i did not have any with the younger ones.

Actually my husband is more or less 6 years younger than me. But would you believe that we get along fine and don't even think that we have a 6 yr. difference? Although there may be some disagreements sometimes, we don't take them as a grudge to each other, but a venue for the betterment of the relationship. So far, in our 21 years of marriage, we are still so much in love and close to each other. Our 20 year old daughter is a living testimony to that.

The only experience I have of this was when I fell in love with a guy 6 months younger! hahaha......That doesn't even seem to count right? Anyway, we never became a couple. Physically he looked older, he was responsible, and a true gentleman but he was easily dictated by his friends. One sign that he was a bit immature. There are psychologic studies that point out that men are 3 years younger mentally than their actual age. And women are 2 yrs older than actual age. If we follow that principle, at the time we were both 18, I was 20 and he was 15! haha

When i was single i wanted to marry someone 10 to 20 years older than me. I didn't know why then but i would love to have a mature husband who would take care of me well. But love is really unpredictable and we'll never know what the future holds for us. I ended up with a husband three years younger than me. Luckily i look younger than him.

I think a lot of it has to do with difference in maturity. Back in high school one of my friends started dating a guy from the local college. He was in his first year of four and she was in eleventh grade. Of course it threw the teachers and even some of the parents for a loop. However previous to that, she has been through three failed relationships with guys her own age. She said the one from the college was more mature. As for the morality of such thing, I think it depends on motives. Why does the older guy want to date a high school girl? Is it because of lust or more legitimate motivations? Why does a cougar want to date a younger man? Again, is it because of lust or more legitimate reasons? If it isn't for shallow reasons (and if the older person isn't going to throw the girl or guy away after they get what they want) then I see no problem with in an age difference in a relationship.

Hi.. my boyfriend is 10 days younger than me and that was fine with me. I think age couldn't tell if the relationship will work or not. You know at the office, my office mate is already 49 years old and he fell in love and courted our 23 year old office helper/janitorial. The guy already has his own family and kids but he left his family for that girl and they are living together now. Weird relationship huh?

I always thought back in high school and college that I would always prefer older guy than younger than me. But guess what? My two ex boyfriends acted with d immaturity of an elementary students. I cc say now that x.do a person is older,it does not mean they would act Their Bie and it always depend on themselves,how they were raised perhaps and how they see life in general.

I am a traditional woman and therefore I prefer to have a relationship with someone who is older than me. Because usually females are maturer than males. I've had a relationship with guys younger than me. Personally, I believe in the saying that the maturity level of a guy who is younger or the same age as a girl is lower. My relationships with younger guys never really worked out. I know that not all guys are like this. However, it sure is true with the guy's I've met. I've had to have relationships with guys 8 times older than me just so we can be on the same page when we're talking about something. It's not always easy to be dealing with younger guys. Maybe it's also because women are more sensitive than men, or women pay more attention to detail than men. But in certain aspects, or in other aspects, there are just things men choose to ignore.

I think age is not a big problem to have a good relationship.It depends on people whom are engaged.Its a matter of trust and good understanding.If you love each other madly and understand each other well,I must say go ahead and keep continue your relationship.I saw a lot of relationship like this and now they are married.So,age difference is not the problem at all. I haven't had a bf who's younger than me. Nor I would ever want to have one. I always want to have a bf who's more mature than me. I want him bringing our relationship instead of me.hehe. as with the question. now i am in a relationship with a guy who is 3 months younger than i do. age for two people in love? i think it doesn't matter as long as both is feeling the love. although we have some advantages here if the guy that you are with is older than you do, as for the girls this may be true. it is because girls mature earlier than boys so the reason for some girls finding love with men older than them is that older guys thinks mature enough rather than younger ones who just wanted to play around and have the possibility of being unfaithful to them. i guess women finds security with men older than them. as with the men i think men who looks for someone older than them also is seeking for some security in their relationship it's like a mother son thing i think. i do not know but this might be true for some.in my opinion there is really nothing wrong with it as long as love is there.

I have dated girls both older and younger than me but most have been younger. I dated two or three that were 5 to 8 years older than me. I dated several that were about five years younger than me. I dated one that was 11 years younger than me and married one that was 13 years younger; the marriage lasted 5 years but the age difference was not the problem. I do prefer women younger than me but that is not my main criteria.

I used to date a guy that was 8 years younger than me. At first I was not sure if I wanted to take the chance dating him. I was not sure what other people would think or say about me. But we had so much in common, and I really enjoyed being with him. I think the older a woman gets, she starts to think about the younger guys and she kept help but to look at how young and sexy he looks. But in my situation, the relationship did not work out and it was due to a long distance relationship situation.

I prefer mature guy which he could lead me to be a good woman and I think mature guy could protect his relationship well, but mature is not depend about their age but I thought it's depend on their character

Jacruz25 I like older girls than me because they all are so much understanding (not much but more than younger girls) I also like to spend time with the older girls due to what they talk. In my opinion younger girls should make relations with the younger guys only not switching it over to older boys.
