I have had quite an eventful life where i had more downs than ups but there came a period when i really had a tremendous good time and had a sense of well being. In 1983 i was posted by my office to Muscat,Oman to work on projects there. It was the first time in my life that i stayed away from my family and was for the first time earning a handsome salary.I was there for only 4 years but those proved to be the best and happiest years of my life.I had a great time working there, my colleagues were fantastic people, we used to party in our quarters nearly every weekend, we had our own personal cook who conjured up some of the tastiest food i have ever eaten. I made a huge lot of friends, some of whom i am in touch even now.We used to play cricket during the weekend, go for long drives in the countryside,go for long drives in the desert, watch the starry skies at night and many more things. When i finally left the place to return to my home country there were tears in my eyes because i knew that i would never again have such a wonderful time again in my life and it turned out to be true. God gave me one chance to really enjoy myself before he sent me hardships which are persisting even till the present. Have you ever had such a time in your life?

I would have to say back when I was 3 to 5, and was at day care. At day care I'd just play and make buildings in the sand box, or play with leggos. It's pretty much been consistently down hill from there.

I would say that the happiest time in my life was really the years between 2002 and 2008. The reason that I pick that period of time to be the happiest is because it was during that period that I met my husband, got married and both of my children were born. It was really a great time for me because I accomplished so many of the things that I wanted to get done in my life. Right now I'm having quite a few struggles in my life, but I know that soon things are going to get better.

There was a period when I had to stay in a hostel. This was the best and most educative period of my life. Liked being independent and learning to make my own decisions. Taught me to be self reliant. Also had a great time going on outings with friends.

I think that really right now is the best time in my life when it all comes down to it. There is always room for improvement, there is always room to improve on our lives. However I think that I am stepping in a pretty interesting time in my life when it all comes down to everything. I hope that the next few years are rather great and continue to remain so. I really have tended to have some ups and some downs in my life. Right now, things are going well. I think that the last couple of years of High School is a close second and then since then, I have had some periods that have rocketed up and down the hill all things considered. Life is full of turns and twists. I wonder what shall come next.

My happiest day in my life was the day I got to know and realize that I have a friend who happens to be my God. This may sound religious, but it is not. I have a relationship with Him, and He is with me always.

For a self professed pessimist my life to date has been wonderful. Even thought I was a very shy little girl , I got what I wanted. the first great time was in grade school when I got to sing in the chorus and play in the orchestra! As I was feeling bullied and teased in middle school , I progressed in Orchestra. In highschool I had some good friends and was great in orchestra. And after school I got to see and tape many a film. But these past 2 years have been the best. See , my guy found me, I have a job I love and I'm complete!

I would say that the mid 70s to early 80s was my best period because it was then that I discovered Zen and meditation and got to know that there was something more to life than just looking to earn a living. It is still hard to explain what I found, but best to say that it was just something deep within myself that felt profound and meaningful but unexplainable. _Derek

I think for me it was when my ex husband and I traveled to Canada. Living in Idaho we just drove up the panhandle into Canada. It was a lovely drive. Then Coming into British Columbia we traveled to the Chinese part and had some dinner. Wondering around the town it reminded me of San Fransisco. We found a little french bar and went in to listen to some music. Just across from the bar was a steam operated clock. We spent the night in a forest. Then we traveled on to the San Juan Islands and stayed on Friday Harbor. We slept in the back of our truck with boats traveling back and forth all night. It was a lovely trip.

I can remember being a child in primary school, and I have to say that it is the happiest I have ever been in my whole life. I didn't realise it at the time, though, as you don't know of all of the pressures that you'll have as soon as you become an adult or start dating as a teenager. I wish that somebody had told me that I should enjoy my childhood while it lasted, because at the end of the day it doesn't last for ever and that is something that I feel as though I have learned the hard way now that I am regretting not making much more of my childhood.

That was a really amazing experience veejay. I wish I will have that sort of experience too. I would say that the happiest time of my life is when I wake up alive and able.

I too have had a very eventful life, which makes me think I should write a book about it. I think I'm living though right now the best years ever. I'm living with plenty of fruits and vegetables that we grow in our back yard. Where we can make a plate of food with no chemicals or additives added. We have no mortgage or rent to pay anymore plus no taxes on the house or property we own. We have no credit card debt. We are free to do as we please each and everyday which is a blessing since I'm only going to be 55 years old in two months. I have to say God has been really very good to me and I pray to him each and everyday for all who need help in the world. It makes me feel so sad to hear your story and know that you have had only 4 years of true happiness. I will pray that some how and someway you will find and have happiness again in your life. God Bless!

I would have to list them first and make up my mind afterwards. As for now, I can say I've had better days. I have been feeling mediocre for the past few months and am willing to punch someone in the face to make it at least interesting for a bit.

The happiest times of my life were 1989 to 1990 which was my one of my years at my further education college, 1993 to 1994 which was my trip around the world and half of 2005 plus the beginning of 2006 when I was in a very happy relationship. I also had a very happy time from 2001 until 2002 with my trip to New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. From age 16 to 17 years old I lived on campus at my further education college. I was able to swim in the indoor pool, go sailing on the river and walk along the river. I had some lovely friendships there and enjoyed my days 100 percent. I spent just over one year traveling around the world when I was 20 to 21 years old. I dated a really amazing man beginning in June 2005. Wow! I was 29 years old on my trip to New Zealand.

I have been through some difficult periods in my life and I have had many problems, but I have also had 3 very happy periods. The first time that I was really happy was 12 years ago when I went to Italy for the first time. I went to language school and I found some great friends there. In our free time we visited different parts of Italy together and I had the chance to see a lot of interesting places. I will never forget the first time that I spent in Italy and the happiness that I experienced during that time. My second happy period took place when I started my education at nursing school. I found some close friends at school, the classes were interesting and my neighbour and I spent almost every day together. We talked for hours and we had so much fun together. In the weekends we went out or invited friends over to our apartments. My neighbour had friends from around the world and I got the chance to meet many of them. It was really interesting to talk to her friends from Asia, Africa and South America. My third happy period is the period that I experience at the moment. I met my husband 3 years ago and this year we bought a house on an island. We are both happy to live her.

That sounds like a wonderful memory. It is always nice to have a period where everything was great. I can pick out several times throughout the years when I have had great times. I think that they were always sprinkled with hardships but the one good thing about those is that they are over. Of course a new hardship replaces it but I still have the strength to deal with them and enjoy some good times. I think that emotionally I am probably in a better time right now. There are, of course, things that I am dealing with but as much as I can, I try not to dwell in them. Maybe that will not be your last wonderful time. Perhaps there is another ahead.

i had a similar experience just like yours. last year i had the opportunity to work for a call center here in my country the Philippines. for the first time in my life i got accepted as a call center agent inspite of my age then which was 49yrs old! i felt really very lucky and very happy because for the first time i was earning a big salary though the work of a call center agent was easy at all.but i was happy meeting new friends and learning new skills. i was able to work for only three months and i enjoyed every moment of it. like you, i cried a lot when i had to stop working but i'm thankful for all the memories and experience because it made me a better person. right now i just stay at home and take care of my mom who is 81 years old!
