Cheerdancing competitions really amazes me!

I'm currently watching the UAAP Cheerdance Competition and the schools' cheering stunts never fail to amaze me! The lifting moves particularly awes me as cheerdancers toss one of their member to the air, the person makes poses while being lifted, then tossed back again to the air while doing somersault or whatever it is called, back down to the hands of the other members. It's really amazing. And at the same time it's scary because they might fall. The floor cheer dance routines are equally entertaining, too. This is why I also like watching movies about cheerleading.

I know!! Cheerleading is always fun to watch. I love watching cheerleading shows and movies. They're really amazing. I cannot imagine the hours of practice they need to synchronize all their movements and to form the pyramids. The flyers (the person who gets thrown in the air) must be quite brave and must really trust their friends to catch them.

Well, practice does make perfect. And their cheerleading routines really do seem quite perfect to me. But then again, I have no experience in this. I just enjoy watching them :D

According to the team captains, they really practice a lot, not only during weekdays but also during weekends. They sacrifice time for their family and friends just to practice and perfect their routine. I agree. The fliers must really be brave and do not fear heights!

I watched that one too. I love cheering competitions because it is quite amazing to see the tossing and lifting. They are like acrobats and gymnast all in one in one amazing production number. My favorite were NU, FEU, La Salle and UP of course. UST is one of the favorites last year and even bagged the 1st runner up but their performance on this year's cheerdance is kinda weak and slow, and it is not an ideal group from the UST. UST and UP are in fair competition when it comes to title. FEU has been consistent 2nd runner up, but I believe they can have the 1st runner up if they did not have one error on the pyramid part. For me FEU is excellent when it comes to formation and the uniformity of exhibition. They are really clean. It was a shocking to see La Salle there, but they had shared a very very good performance too. They deserve to win too. I love the costume too, I love the leaf on the heard of the cheerleaders. I love movies with dancing and cheerleading plot like Bring it On part 1 to 3 and of course the STep UP trilogy.

I liked FEU's performance, too. But they made some mistakes so I was sure they won't make it to the top. I still was surprised when they landed only on the third spot because last year, they were first runner-up. It was USTe who did not land any place in the podium, last year they were second runner-up I think. I was more surprised when DLSU landed the second spot. I did not like their costume. Too many leaves.

I'm not that much into Cheerdancing competition but my wife is and she loves to watch it so I have no other choice but to watch it with her. Over time I learned to at least appreciate these competitions but I won't go to the extent of watching movies about Cheerdancing. But who knows, since I watch the UAAP Cheerdancing competition every year with my wife, maybe I'll get to love this in time.

It is relaxing to watch on tv. But I think if you're there at the Araneta, the high energy surrounding you will you tire you out.

I just watched it online yesterday, and although I always cheer for my alma mater UST, I think FEU did the best among all the groups.

Many years ago when I was in high school I was a cheerleader..but we didn't do half the things they can do now. We did the splits..roundoffs....cartwheels and an occasional pyramid. What they do now is very dangerous and yet thrilling! I also like to watch the competitions!

too bad, i haven't watched uaap cheerdance competition yesterday. but i too, was a big fan of watching cheerleaders especially in doing their routine. i'm a frustrated dancer wish i could dance and do some tumblings like them. i don't have any chance to join those kind of extra curricural activities during my college days so all i can do is watch and admire them as they do their routine.i also love watching movies about cheerleading. besides, i just finished watching a cheerleading series and right now i'm into watching a gymnastic series.

I think the competition yesterday is already available in youtube. I know UP Pep Squad's number is already uploaded there. I am also a frustrated gymnast! Well, at least the tumbling parts. I wish I can do all those!

Yeah! I agree! It's amazing how they balance themselves in their pyramid formations. The people at the base are really strong! From the start, my bet has been on the UP Pep Squad. How about you?

My daughter used to be in cheerleading competitions very often. She did the gymnastic parts of the routine. She was a flyer for a little while(the one that gets raised and thrown)but she really enjoyed the gymnastic part of it and that is where she did the best. It is actually alot of work. They do fall sometimes. I used to love watching them. I wasn't crazy about attending all the games but I liked the competition part of it.

I love the cheer dance competitions, we did not have those acrobatics during my time, my only problem with watching UAAP is my loyalty gets torn when my high school alma mater plays or competes against my college alma mater, that's the time I don't watch

Yep! The cheer dance competition is quite amazing. I really love the synchronize movements and routine of the cheer dancers. Also, the choice of costume and music is something worth noting. Congratulations to the UP Pep Squad for bagging a sweep of the contest. They are really great hands down! I am a fan of them aside from being a fan of all the pretty and hot girls in cheer dancing uniforms.

Lots of girls were really sexy! I envy their flat stomachs and thin waist line. Yep, UP Pep Squad took it all home! That's really an amazing victory for them.

I like watching cheerleading competitions too. Other than those pretty faces and hot bodies there, of course there are those amazing moves, throwing and lifting. It's scary but graceful too, especially when they landed with a nice pose.. haha It takes many months to years of training for them to perfect their skills, and that's why accidents seldom happen. hehe
