I just watched this video on youtube after so many years now, and I can't believe I had forgotten about this song! This is one of my favourite songs and I think this is one of Avril's best works. And the video is so beautiful too, it never fails to bring tears to my eyes. The saddest part of the video is of the old man who misses his wife who has passed away. I tell you, it always makes me cry looking at the old man It's so sad!
Anyway what about you? Do you like this song and it's music video? And do you have any songs as such, that you love but makes you emotional at the same time?

You sentimental you. No you are not alone, I too can get very emotional with songs, shows and videos too. There are some that can really hit and touch a nerve somehow and bring me to tears. Almost as if I so cared for the person and was hurting for them.
I have several music videos that I can listen to hundreds of times and or after years and it can affect me exactly the same each time, as if it were the very first time I heard it.

There is something about either the lyric, rhythm of the music and or the actual portrayal of videos that really get me.

Hi thatgirl!
I watched the video right after I read your post and yeah, the scene with the old man was the most saddest scene among the three. Even the scene when he was looking happy at the cemetery drinking champagne, it felt so sad.
I can't remember a song that makes me emotional although there are some that makes me feel sad or moved. The instrumental that always played in the drama Autumn in my Heart makes me real sad. I often remember it when I see someone riding a bike, you know, because the lead characters were always riding a bike while the instrumental plays in the background. That instrumental never fails to make me sigh and make me feel sad.
There's also some Korean love songs that move me even though I don't understand the lyrics! I just love the melody and the way the singer sang the song. One example of this is the theme song of the drama Iris. ^^
Also, those songs with high notes sometimes give me goosebumps. ^^

That's the song I love in Iris! I also like her I Won't Love song.
Secret Garden was aired here but I did not watch it because it's timeslot was very late at night. And when they air K-dramas here, they change the songs playing in the background. My mother has a dvd of it, though. I was just not able to watch it while she was watching it. ^^

I loved the all the osts of Iris. My favourite is the "Do not forget" track. I absolutely love JiYoung unnie's voice. So powerful and addictive
And have you seen Secret Garden? The sound tracks there are pretty addicting too. Doesn't make me sad or emotional but i absolutely love them!!

I always like that song but it's the first time to watch the video. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.I like Avril Lavigne songs because it has some sense compared to other artists. There are lots of songs nowadays that are just full of nonsense noise.

Yes what you said is true! Some of the songs these days make no sense at all, just that the beats and tunes are catchy. And Avril's songs are simple worded but I think they have a lot deeper meaning to them and they make lots of sense too
Thanks for the response. Have a good day!

You're right. I love the song and the music video. I can listen to it all day and never get used to it. It is definitely one of her best songs ever. And I liked the music video, too.
I also have this song 'Cold As You' by Taylor Swift. It was really good, too. I listen to it when I feel like mourning. I love the song but I don't usually listen to it because even if I feel happy, the song is really sad it makes me feel bad, too.
Have you heard of the song?
