My weaknesses are I used to afraid to work in a real estate and restaurant first in real estate is in sales, I think I don't have the convincing power how to close the transaction. In my first quarter as a real estate consultant I observe with my other coworkers and study our projects. Unfortunately, I didn't make any sale, but I improve my personality. I'm not a shy type anymore.
Second, in a restaurant I don't want the guests shouted at me or get too irritated if I'm going to repeat their orders or telling them wrong details. That's my first impression if working in a restaurant. I told myself I need to fight what I'm afraid of, I need to try and challenge myself for gain knowledge and experience. So, I can say that I've learned a lot from my experiences.
To all mylotters is it correct to mention this in my interview? Thanks in advance.

I think you should not point that out too much, that you were six and did not made any sale.that would reflect incompetence if I was the interviewer especially if you want a sales job.
This question has been asked from me already. I remember I read that it is okay to tell them what your weakness is. But you have to turn it around and let them feel though you claim it to be a weakness, it still can be used as a strength.

Shheeeessshhh!!!! I think this was the biggest mistake that I've done in my life! . No wonder I wasn't accepted in some companies because I am pointing out some details that is related to the position. Lesson learned now that I have to say the general weaknesses.

I agree chiyosan. you just have to remember that your goal is to put you in a positive light.
You SHOULDN'T tell them about your weaknesses that are specific for the position you are applying for. that's a big no-no. You can tell them a general weakness as a person and them tell them how it's both negative AND positive, tell them how it is positive. Always end with a positive note.
I remember answering this question in my last job interview (1 and a half years ago). I think the way I answered it is one of the reasons why I got my job

If your answer is correct or not would depend really upon the interviewer's evaluation of your response. If you are accepted on the job, then you can say that what you have said made said and gain the approval of the interviewer convincing him/her that you are qualified for the job.
Interview questions like the one you have posted are questions about yourself and the way you respond gives the interviewer a clue about you how you handle things or even yourself. Many applicants fumble on this question because they answer it in a way that bores rather that impress the interviewer. There are many ways to answer this question correctly but the principle is the same - the negative should be turned into positive. I suggest also to surf the net regarding this topic, try typing job interview question on the search engine and you will find many articles about the many interview questions and how to answer them correctly.

My weaknesses is to answer this kind of question!
I can't see the point that guest will shout if in case that you are going to repeat the orders. That is part of your job in restaurant and yet of course you have to verify it. Because if you are not going to do that then probably you are going to give them the wrong order then that could be the time that they will complain or even shout.

if you're applying for a real-estate agent position or a waiter in a restaurant, I don't think you should say that.
Of course everybody has weaknesses and it's not wrong to admit them, but there are politically correct answers for that question, and oh, yeah, it's wrong to admit weaknesses in job interviews, unless you want to greatly lessen your chances in getting the job.
The politically correct way of answering that is turning your strengths into your weaknesses. You say "what? that's my strength so how can it be my weakness as well?". Well, here's the deal, have you ever heard of the saying that too much of something is bad? Well that's the principle that we will apply for this specific question.
Let's say you're a punctual person, say "my weakness is that i'm too punctual that I arrive at my destination at least 30 minutes early, so I have nothing to do for 30 minutes". If you answer like that the interviewer would think that "Oh, I can trust this person to be early" or maybe something even deeper "this person values commitment".
You can also answer that "I'm a workaholic and sometimes my family tells me that I have less time for them".
It all depends on what your strengths are. Of course, the scenario for your weakness should also be true as well.
I hope you get the job :)

I guess you can give them weaknesses if you really want to portray honesty but give them the ones that are not related to the work you are applying to. For example, if you're applying for a call center job, do not tell them that you are "sometimes lazy" and "not flexible" and "has trouble sleeping in the morning" for these traits will sure to not land you on the job. Instead, tell them that you are not that much good in handling money, or sometimes you "talk too much". The latter will sure to qualify you as a call center agent.
