I just had time to comment on some responses to my discussions yesterday however though my discussions are just very few compared to other mylotters but I still had not finished making comments to all responses. I spent the whole afternoon on mylot alone. Making comments really need so much time. Anyway I had done, I'll do the rest little by little. How about you fellow mylotters do you find time to comment to all the responses to your discussions?

You are right it is time consuming and one of the small reasons why I do not start many discussions. I get 40 - 100 responses and that is not counting all the back and forth in several boxes, so I try to only start them when I know I will have an ample amount of time to specifically devote to a discussion. I comment on each and every response and furthering of discussions. You can take your time to comment, the idea is to participate. I probably would suggest not to start another until you are done with the previous. Only reason I am saying is that I have seen it many times where when members do not get comments they tend to remember this and then opt not to respond again to any other. At any rate there is no time limit as to when you can respond, so taking your time is okay too. It is really what one is comfortable with.

the mere fact that she cares enough to try and keep up is just great in my eyes. some on here really do not come back and lately I find I just do not respond so much anymore to those with fifteen discussions and have not commented back on any of them. Why should I when the discussion maker does not even care about his or her discussion taking off a t all?

It is sad when we put in a well thought out response and never hear back at times, we have to wonder if a member even read it. I was surprised the other day where I received a comment from then month old discussion. At first when I read it I thought, how did I respond there as I do not recall recently, so I go to the discussion and it was the member who came back after 10 months and specifically came to comment a fabulous update. He was fired from his job and we all give him tips back at the time. Turns out life made a 180 degree turn and he wanted to come back to those of us who helped. Priceless! So yeah whatever is comfortable for each as to when to comment.

That's great and congrats you helped a mylotter. Another thing I have been here for 3 months already and there are others who made responses of my discussion which I started during my first weeks in this site and I also made a comment to a response 3 month ago. Yes, there is no time limit as to when we respond or comment.

hi; pahak627 I cannot always get all the comments done in one times so I do check back daily and keept them caught up pretty much that way. I am retired so I do have more time than most but still there are some other things I must do like eat and sleep and recreate a little to relax from being on here all day most days.Pahak the fact that you do come back and you do care to comment will please all of us and we all know that not everyone has a lot of time to be on my lot.It always takes me time too as I like to make sure my responders know I have read all the responses and am giving my output to their responses

Thanks for that Hatley, I like what you said at least I know that not all mylot members expected immediate comments to their responses. Your response inspired me and also thanks again for saving me.

I also do it little by little. We shouldn't rush when giving comments. You can always skip some of the responses that you feel kind of lost with comments and come back later when you have thought of something. I would also check back on the responses that I have left on other myLotters' discussions to see what they wrote and if I find that I have further comments to add on, then I just do it.

Hi Jlyn10 nice of you to response to my discussion. I'll follow what you're doing. It seems orderly and systematic. Thanks.

Well, I don't force myself to comment back for every responses that I get. I just reply for several responses that really attract me. So I think it wouldn't really hard..

According to one advice that I get in this discussion, mylotters may avoid our discussions if we don't comment because they expected it. Do most mylotters really expect comments to their responses?

Well.. It is because if someone made a comment on their responses, then they are being able to comment back. More comments they made, more earning they get. I think that's why.. But if the comment they got is just about "Thank you for your response". I think they wouldn't expect it that much. And somehow, that kind of comment is against myLot rules.. ^^; Anyway, like I said before, I am not fully leave my discussion after I made it. I also comment back, it is just I don't give a comment on every responses.. ^^; I believe the one that several mylotters avoid is mylotters that made a discussion, and then he leave that discussion and never make any comment.. :)

Ah I just realized why in our notification we are being congratulated whenever we made a response, so we as the responder may earn except when we say thank you.
