Ortiz headbutted Mayweather. Referee caught the illegal move and gave Ortiz a warning. Ortiz apologized profusely. Referee drags him to his corner. Ortiz continues to apologize. Referee appears confused and disoriented. Ortiz made himself a target. Mayweather threw punches that sent Ortiz to the canvas. Referee stopped the fight.
What's more bizaree is Mayweather disrespecting Larry Merchant and the latter losing his cool.
This looks like something out of the WWF, where scenes like this are common.
What do you think? is Mayweather cheapening boxing to make it look like a scripted professional wrestling match?

that fight is a big flop and disappointment to some boxing fans. That punch that brought Ortiz down was a very unfair one, there was no signal yet from the ref and the gayweather cleverly capitalizes the chance. Probably one of the worst officiated fights I've ever seen. shame on the hall of famer ref Joe Cortez, Kenny Bayless should have been the best option to officiate the fight.

In my personal opinion they looked more like the 3 stooges than a scripted WWF fight. Floyd is like Moe knocking out Larry (Ortiz)and the referee plays the role of Curly, the head butt and those punches are classic 3 stooges antics
