I just stumbled across this story and it's really awful. an 11-year-old boy is charged with murder. supposedly, he killed his father's pregnant girlfriend. He killed this woman, who was in her eighth month of pregnancy, and his own half-brother in the womb. I should probably say allegedly because he hasn't been tried and found guilty. But the police are pretty sure – they found gun residue on the boys clothing. The father still says he's innocent. It's a really tragic story.
here is the complete story:

The thing is, what do you think should be done with a boy? If he's found convicted he'll go to jail for the rest of his life. Can and 11-year-old really understand murder?or what it means to go to jail for the rest of your life? Do you think he should be prosecuted as an adult were given special consideration because he's a child?
Personally I think he didn't adult crimes who he should get an adult punishment. He should be put in juvenile hall, and then transfer to a maximum security prison when he turns 18. They shouldn't put a little kid in a maximum security prison with adult prisoners, but he should still be in jail. What he did is a crime. What do you think?

Personally, I believe that the child should be placed in an insane asylum until he is 18 years old. Then he can be tried as an adult, and pay the consequences for the crimes he committed.

a lot of people have said that. I guess the question is, is he truly insane or is he just an evil kid? Sometimes people who murder are crazy, they're just bad people. I guess a psychiatrist would have to evaluate him and find out. Of course, let's not forget the possibility that despite the seeming evidence he is innocent – he hasn't been tried yet. But if he's found guilty, I guess it will depend on what happens to him. Maybe if they do find him to be crazy they will put them in an asylum.

It is hard to stomach what a pitiful state that child was in. It must be a mixture of circumstances that can drive a kid to kill. It is not in their nature to be that violent unless they have suffered emotionally and maybe even physical pain. We do not really know what pushed him to the edge. I agree with you that a child must not be locked up with adults. Oh the horrible things that they would do to him while in jail. I hope he will recover from this episode in this life a better person.

In my country the boy would have been put in institution for criminal children/teenagers. It is a not a real prison because he would be get help and treatment, but on the other hand it isn't an open place that he can leave if he wants to. The doors are locked and there is a big fence around the place. I think that option is better than a prison when the child is only 11 years. I think that he needs helps, but I also think that his actions has to lead to consequences and that he has to be in an institution where the doors are locked and not an open institution.

WOW!!! this is just crazy. I dont know what I would do..where is his mother? well anyway, my thought is obvously he needs some kind of help. Whether it be prison or in some kind of facility watching him. He prob. has some kind of anger towards his dad if he killed him, his GF who was preg. and another woman who was preg. with his half-bro.(assuming his dad is the father again). He just needs help, and yes some kind of jail time even for a 11 yr old. He needs to know what he did was VERY wrong, and needs to be punished for it.
