Hi sona, Yes, we too experienced earth quake. It lasted for considerably a long time. People came out of their house all panicked but I was watching TV news. I know if it is a bigger one there is no escape. This is a sign of great disaster to follow. So be your heel.

I was a bit shocked to hear about that too. I saw it in the news and wondered whether anything serious had happened. Happy to hear that you and your family and safe. Since it arrived without any warnings, it must have taken your breath away! I had experience this when I was at Delhi three years before. I was on my bed reading a magazine, suddenly my bed started to rock back and forth. I was scared whether someone was underneath it and jumped up- later realized that it was an earthquake. Like most of the quakes in India, it too came without warning. I wonder when the meteorological departments would be actually capable of giving warnings before the quakes hit!

friend, here weather at that moment was bad. It was raining heavily at that time. It is rainy day. The electricity just went. Like you my husband was reading a book by lying on the bed. He felt a small jerk in the bed and thought our daughter might taking something. He looked and obviously our daughter was not present there. He asked in a loud voice who's there. My daughter was in front of computer and I was at kitchen. Then the jerking was increased we all except our daughter realized the facts. My daughter surprised as it was her first. After Tsunami, the Govt. told a lot abut warning. But it may be for the sea side area.

But I don't think that this particular quake came with warning. A person from our location predicted the earthquake, but there was no response to that. He had also done the same for the Japan's recent quakes, but they ignored that too. If his words were taken into consideration, the people at north east India wouldn't be as surprised as they were!

That is a pretty big quake. How is your mother in law after her fall? It seems there are a lot of earthquakes lately. I see it did not disrupt your internet service, so that is a good thing.
