Stress is part of our life and it's inevitable. I think nobody in this world have not experienced having it actually. Though, we always try to avoid them as much as possible, because they can affect our health .
For me, what stresses me so much, is whenever we have monetary problems. Like when it’s tuition time for our daughter and we don’t have that much big cash with us, I am really stressed and so is my husband in trying to make a way to solve them.
But thank God, because there are lots of loans that we could alternately avail of. Sometimes though, our parents helps us.
What about you guys?

Oh, a lot of things stress me. But, what stresses me the most is when there is an emergency situation and I do not have enough money to address that situation. Time and again, I said I'd save up for an emergency fund, but I keep delaying. I also still ask her from my parents when I'm really in need. But, yeah, I can't deny that my obligations are piling up. The other main stressor is my boss. Not my job, but the boss. He makes our lives miserable.

I guess, money is one common stress factor in people.
Yes, a boss that is a slave driver , can really stress us too. Specially, when he/she is hard to please too, or has high expectations of you.
I am lucky though , to have a kind and generous boss.

Yes, we go through ups and downs in the course of our lives. I have a full-time job with a very good company doing business internationally. I like the job and I enjoy working with people of different countries and cultures. But, the job is really very stressful some times, to meet the contractual commitments. I some times have to work all day and all night. Really stressful and tiring.

Haven't you considered your job ye , whether it is already stressing you so much? We have to be on the look-out of our health to, in the course of our jobs. as they say, health is wealth.
When it stresses you so much already , that you hardly have a good time with your family already, then it's better to slow down, lest it can consume you and make you sick.

Hi sim!
Monetary problems could be a very big reason for our stress and many of us get tensed due to non availability of funds at the right time (I'm no exception). I think we should condition our mind to handle the stress and instead of sitting and thinking over and over again, we should take some 'action' to sort out the reasons, which give us stress. It is said - "Action cures fear".

Yes, that's true. Monetary problem could really stress us so much. So, just like you said, you have to take action for it. If it means swallowing your pride and borrow from your parents, then do so. Just don't forget to pay them back on time.

What stresses me are many things these days. Money being one of them. I do not want to get into anything but it all started with me on 9/11. After a while the stress calmed down but never went totally away. From that point on until today it steadily got worse. There were other things in my life that happened and happened all at once, or so it seems. More like dominos, one fell and there was a chain reaction and it is still going strong. Thats why I come here to keep my sanity or whatever I have left.

It is well known that "care killed a cat and laugh and grow fat",but nobody can say for sure he has no stress except baby ,because life isn't all fun but is full of frustrations. As for me,I have been retired and lead a free and easy life,in addition,my motto is "enough is as good as a feast".However I have stress too,I need to attend my mother who is 90 and take care of my 5.5 years old granddaughter.

I know it sounds funny but things I see coming or that challenge me do not stress me as much as what I do not see coming. I find some stress actually as positive as it puts me in the world with everyone else though too much is not good of course. If I can find a solution or deal with it I am ok with stress but if I do not understand that something is going to explode on my cookie sheet, ouch, did not see that coming.

You are very lucky that you don't find stress as stressing, but as a challenge to beat. I think that should be the right attitude. But we are just but humans, so we naturally becomes anxious when stressed.

I know what you mean it is like a little "how to do it" book that you carry around with you. You know what is the right things to do, like do not worry, never worry but do you do that? We are human and have habits. Now where is that "do it right the first time book?"

Actually, neildc i didn't noticed that you are stressed.
Common, lighten up and don't get stressed. Learn to adapt to pressure specially at work. As to family, you can talk it over with your wife, she's there to help you.
Most of all, pray for guidance and enlightenment on things that stresses you.

Like you, financial concerns are the biggest things that always stresses me out. There seems to be a lot of juggling around that needs to be done just to make ends meet. But unlike you, there is nobody to turn to. So I often have to be creative to get that extra cash. Some come in the form of tax credits that I plan a year ahead.
These stress is something we could really do without.

It's really difficult to have money problems specially when you don't have anyone to turn to for help. It will really stress you a lot.
Good move to plan ahead for those tax credits.

Hi Professor, God has indeed given you a lot and has taken away any monetary problem that can lead to stress.
But i guess, you did have monetary problems before, when you were just starting a life with Kalyani. Right? So, how did you manage it?
As to Kalyani and your health, just follow what the doctor advices on managing your sicknesses and eat and live healthily, for God to give you and Kalyani many, many more years to live.

Stress, is definitely part of our lives whether we want it or not. Lately our stress level has been a bit elevated, with the paycuts we've been experience. Our salaries continue to decrease but expenses continue to increases and its not balancing. Once you feel you are getting old of a whole, you dig yourself into another one, it seems like you never get out of it. And it is extremely stressful.
@SIMPLYD (90721)

That's true stress is already part of living. Money stress in particular cannot be avoided.
Like you said, our expenses keeps getting bigger because of inflation , yet our salaries are not increasing. Hence, sometimes we run out of our budget, thereby causing our stress. It's up to us , how we could cope up with it.

I agree, mainly for me I like to disconnect myself during the weekend. Go to the park with the kids or during the summer go to the beach as well as the zoo and just disconnect forget about my worries and spend time with the family. Because during the week it's impossible to get any time with the schedule and work. So my weekend is my couping days/disconnecting days to get away from it all.

Everything that we do and experience contribute to our daily doze of stress. Actually there are two kind of stress- the Good Stress and the Bad Stress. Good Stress are stress cause by something or some experience that makes a person happy. For example, being surprised since you have won a lottery or there is something that you have been waiting for and it finally came unexpectedly. On the other hand, bad stress are those stress caused by bad things or undesirable things like daily problems. With this, we can safely say that whatever we do we cannot avoid stress. And we should not avoid it. What we need to do is to manage stress so that it will not lead us to be mentally, physically and emotionally broken.

Currently what stresses me the most (and I mean A LOT!) is debt problem. I know it's my fault (partly) in the first place on why I'm currently swimming in credit card debts but I'm slowly paying them all off. I'm also giving money/allowance at home to my parents since they are both senior citizens now. I'm just scared on what the credit card companies can do since I can't really pay my cards even the minimum amount. I tried to come up with an arrangement for me to pay my bill but they insist me to pay the minimum or something like that before I can have an arrangement with them (I mean, I don't even have enough money to handle the minimum amount). I'm also currently looking for a sideline/part-time job since my full-time work is not enough to pay my bills. Of course their constant, never ending calls also bothers me. There are a lot of questions running inside my head like, "Can a person be jailed or arrested for not paying card bills" or something along that line.
What I don't want to happen is to let my parents in on the amount I have to pay with the card companies. One time the credit card company called our home and my mom answered. She totally panicked when she heard the call was from the credit card company. They're not that young and I really don't want to give them any headaches on this matter. Of course, I don't also want to listen to never-ending sermons from my mom :(
So basically that's what stresses me the most. If only I can find a solution for this at least my burden will be a bit lighter :( Any suggestions on solving this is very much welcomed.

Sometimes , we run out of money despite our pays from our jobs. That's because of course, we have to prioritize our needs - foods.
But then, i guess sometimes to some of us, we just have to trim or simplify our needs really. Only then, will we be able to have extra money to pay our bills.

Exactly!! Money matters make people stressed a lot and for each and every cause, money is an essential part and when we are in short of money, we will get tensed and stressed heavily. I am now trying to get rid of loans and by which I think I will get slowly come out of my stress. Still, one after another, we may have sort of issues which cannot be resolved and problems alongwith it. Try to get a better solution for all problems and managing them wisely is the way out of it with our limited resources. Also remember, getting a loan may be bit easy but paying back may cause more stress. So, if possible, come out of loans and try to pay of as much early as possible otherwise the bankers will eat up our money in the name of interest.
Thank-s

That's true. Lack of money or having no money at all could stress us a lot actually.
When one is employed the tendency is to have a loan, but we should see to it that the monthly amortization will be within our budget. If not, it will still add-up to our monetary problems.
Thanks to loans given out by Pag-Ibig , SSS or GSIS if you are a government employee here in the Philippines. They really help a lot, because they have a lesser interest and low monthly amortization.
And in addition , i also thank my parents and my husband's parents and my boss , when money becomes a problem. It really also helps that i always pray for God's help.

Oh my gosh! I have way to many things that stress me out right now. I just got married to a Jamaican, and have to pay a filing fee for that to get him a visa, my grandpa just passed away, so I had to miss alot of work. Having no money what so ever is the most stressing thing for me I would say. Even trying to find a "better" job than what I have now is hard. I want to do things with my children but its so hard to do without money since kids like to do places and do things you know. It all comes down to.. Money, Money, Money!! lol I hate it!

So, why not make your Jamaican pay for the filing fee of his visa?
Yes, fulfilling the needs of our family could really drain us of our money, thus stressing us. Sometimes, i think, no matter how much you pay , it seems that money isn't that always enough for our family. Unless, we stop eating.
