Fasting is fast becoming a way of achieving our objectives. Its a Ghandhian way to get things done.Anna Haraze a crusader against corruption fasted for 14 days and achieved his purpose. The CM pf Gujarath is now fasting for a purpose. Many are folling suit. When i get angry i go without food. Once it went for 4 days.I survive only on water till my anger subsides. Have you ever fasted for any reason-for health, for a social cause etc etc

yes fasting is a silent attack for the rights of ours.We try fighting for our needs in silence by giving off the food, this is good only for some people ,those who have some position or socially are aware,so many do fasts and dharnas but without any group that will not work out,i mean to say a committee and a good reason or purpose,i definelty try this out at home but it results in nothing good, just it finishes without any good result.

Yes in order to achieve our larger purpose we must have a group who could put pressure on the governement. But fasting at home can be done for various reasons. As some said, for good health, for spiritual growth etc etc. I fasted a few time to show my anger hehe

Fasting by MAHATMA Ganhdiji was for a noble purpose, but Anna Hazare misled by people around him. Our country run by constitution if anybody want anything let him stand for an election come with a majority and let him do what ever he want.

Even if you think Anna was misled then its for a good cause. The members of civil society have nothing personal to gain and its for common good. Its impractical to say that people who want to fight corruption must win elections. Its akin to saying that to treat an illness we must become a doctor first. Can everyone who is ill become a doctor? Can everyone who is against corruption become MLA's and MP's?Only 530 seats are there in the Parliament for 1.2 billion people.Think over

thank u for responding, for every thing there should be some kind of control. We have elected a government for the sake of administration for the welfare of the people, let them do it and allow to work. You have waited 63 years to work against corruption. That man want to become a hero let him do so i have no objection everybody has the right to express their opinion. on the contrary why not take opinion of the people, if you want to change the system you have show the will people.I challenge people of the civil society, if they can eardciate corruption even after you bring stricter Jan Lok pal. those who want to become hero will be zero

I have fasted several times, but it hasn't been for a health reason, but more as part of a meditation process. I didn't notice that as the system cleared out, I did feel very much more alive and awake. I haven't done it for a few years now, so maybe it's time to consider a fast again. _Derek

Yes derek i have experienced it too. I too meditate. ts only the first few hours or days when we feel some weakness when fasting. Then it shows its good effect which is beyond explanation

Yes people fast for various reasons. During the month of Ramzan the entire Muslim community fast. This has double advantage. One it cleans our system and makes our thoughts pious.Secondly it is believed to enhance spirituality. it develops mind control.Do you fast during Ramzan all 30 days??In India women also fast during Kaduva Chauth for her hubby's good health

I fasted for 3 days to offset my plane ticket. That experience was unforgetable. I went out the night before my flight and didn't realized that my trip the following day is at 7am. I was not able to wake up and found out that i missed my flight. I went to the airport before noon and hoping to get the next flight out. Much to my surprise, fares already went up and I could almost buy two more regular fares for a friend. But unfortunately, I have to grab that seat because i have a work a class and work to miss.

Food is indeed a great temptation. It require good mind control to fast for some passage of time.In India women fast on Kaduva Chauth for the well being of her better half.

I have fated but for more shallow reason. I fasted before to try to lose weight. I was in my "I need to be skinny" moment of my life and those are one of the things that I tried. I did lose weight but water weight only. I gained it back once I started to eat normally again.

Yes most women fast to shape their flabby body. Its does have a positive effect on obese people. But fasting must be done with care else it could cause more damage then good

Yes, I have fasted many times particularly during Lent period. It is a healthy thing to do. But, fasting should not be a permanent thing to do to reduce weight. Naturally thin people don't do that. My idea of doing a fast is to control our desires especially those that then to make you commit 'sins'. I have done a research on fasting. If you like I could send you a PDF copy to you via your email. Please do request this in this website. OK? Thanks! Regards! Bro Joe. GBU
