Newbie is not easily recognize by the old my lotters.

Hi there, mylot is a big community I think it is hard to remember every of the members one by one, I agree with some of mylotters here, the more we engaged in discussions or responses the more we can get a long with each other. It is my 1st months here, Im really happy whenever I see veteran member give me a warm welcome or comment back on my response. I appologize if I cant remember or recognize people here in mylot, well actually I have problem recognizing people in real life hahaha and I had funny discussion about recognizing my crush. So please dont be sad if someone didnt recognize you, be happy and lets enjoy mylot together.

I feel that once we interact with members for a while it is easy to recognize them when they come back. I believe it has to do with their writing styles and or type of topics. I don't look for members because they are new and or veterans, what grabs my attention is their topics. If I can apply some useful and or helpful information to the topic being discussed then I go for it.

Well that is because, as you do in your personal life, the longer you stay the more friends you gain. It's not like you move to a new neighborhood and expect to know everyone there right away. Of course as time goes on and you've meet them along the way, and chatted with them, then you'll become their friend. The same way it is here in mylot. The more discussions you participate in, the more people you meet. Then you can become friends with them. It would be weird to just go on a friend hunt where you'll just add people when they don't even know you or recognize you, just so you can have friends. The best way to gain friends is through mutual interest, and that is through discussions.

Hi friend, It happens everywhere when we are new.But as t you participate and members recognise your discussions things change. In my case I respond to any discussion that interests me , regardless of who started it. It may be a friend or a brand new member, doesnt really matter ! all the best and happy mylotting

Being an old mylotter or newbies is not too important, as long as you can post something interesting and keep responding to other discussion, you will get recognized one day. It is hard to know either someone is someone here before if you did not introduce yourself or mentioned it in your profile, you should use the same username and modify it slightly in order for your friends here to be able to recognized you. For example, if you earlier account username was Oldname, so your new username should around Oldname, like Oldname_01 or something similar. In this way, I believe everyone here will be able to recognized you.

Do you always create new accounts here? why? and whoever is your friend here, that is not even permanent as long as you know them personally and you have invited them here. Don't take it personally but it is better if people would not know who you really are since you have been sharing some of your opinions and sometimes personal life in Mylot that others may have to know. There will always be a newbie here in Mylot and they are welcome and who would know them especially the old timers?

Since you are starting all over again you need to go through the same process that started you here earlier. In course of time you will have many friends. What I suggest you do is to respond to topics that interest you and not by who has posted that topic. Welcome to myLot.

Well I for one never look at a members ranking when I decide if I will add a response to a discussion or not. If a subject interests me or is something that I feel I can add a relevant point to the discussion on then I will respond. What I won't respond to are the constant' get rich quick' type of discussions which frankly bore the pants off me!! Good luck with you MyLotting, and I hope that you soon get plenty of posts under your belt.

There are a lot of myloters here and it is not easy to be recognized. I can't keep in contact with all of the people in my friends list so I find it hard myself to recognize them.

Hey why did you close your old account ? Anyways, the more a member participates the more he/she is known by the other members . I am here for about a month and I have so many friends whom I met while participating in the forum . Its fun to share views and learn so many things . Happy mylotting friend :-)

I don't think it has to do with being new or old. I think it has more to do with the kind of interests you have and the kind of discussion (the subject) you start. Might be there is a big group just responding at the discussions of friends. I pick out the subjects I like. I also don't reply on everything I read because I don't have an answer always and frequently I know nothing about the subject either.

it is just to send friend requests,start discussions,reply to discussions,comment on blogs,add your stuff.its over all generate activities daily.but don't sit idle and looking for friend requests.so be active.

Well I don't know who you are (were) but it doesn't make any difference to me. Any discussion that makes sense, isn't a repeat, or isn't against the guidelines is good enough for me. Although I hope you are not a cat or dog. I even saw a ferret here once!
