The Mortal Instruments Series Movie?

I'm not sure if i want the Mortal Instruments to be turned into a movie. It;s very fantasy and i find the lack or creativeness of the effects will take away a lot from the actual plot of the story. Anyone else feel this way?

I am not very excited for the movie as I think the cast is horrible. I hope they make a very good movie to compensate for the very poor acting.
