I really like to eat fish, and yesterday I bought a lot of it in the form of fillet, because it was on sale. But now I realize that I don't know that much of recipes with fish fillet.
I know that I can fry breaded fish, do a fish sauce or cook with vegetables in the oven, but I want some different. Can somebody helps me? Don't need to be a complete recipe, just with the name I can try to find on the internet, or just a little explanation about it. Thanks for help.

Hey. I like to eat fish very much too. But fillet isn't very common in our country, at least in my hometown and the city I'm working in. We generally make fish soup and braise it with brown soy sauce. Both are very decilious. My opinion is that we don't need to know too many receipes, just prepare essential materials and ingredient and then cook. Maybe the first time it doesn't taste good, but I believe it will turn out better after you try again and again. And this is your receipe! Good luck!

Here where I live it is very commom to have fish fillet, but we do it as soup or braised too. Actually, there is a lot of recipes with fish here in Brazil, but I don't know too much. And I am trying to find something different.
Sometimes I do this kind of thing: mix a lot of good things and try to make a meal with it, but with a recipe I will have less work, haha.
Do you have a recipe that you can give to me? Thanks for your help.

It looks like very simple to do and probably be very good. But I don't understand, the fish will be entire at the end or when you boil it, it become on pieces?
Because for me, fish soup use pieces of fish not a whole one. But I will try to do it this week and then I comment here.
Probably I will just need to change one thing: I won't put monosodium glutamate. My fiancee don't like it, because it has a lot of sodium and it is very bad for our health. Thanks for your help.

You can decide if the fish needs to be cut on pieces. As I usually buy the crucian crap, which body length is not long, I boil it entirely. If the fish is large, it'll be better to cut on pieces. It's OK not add the monosodium glutamate as the fish soup is delicious itself. Good luck.

I fry fish fillets after basting them with salt, pepper and lemon. Them I pass them through flour and that´s it. It is better than breaded fish because they don´t absorb as much oil. you can serve it with homemade mashed potatoes and gravy.

I use the normal wheat flour I have at home. I have both with and without baking powder but I´m not picky at using either one.
The fish will not get too dry, it will have the wonderful fish taste at a better level than if drowned by bread.
When you take it out, place the fillets on a paper towel.

Hum, this is a nice one. But what kind of flour do you use? The commom, made with wheat? When you pass the fish through flour, what do you do to the fish don't become to much dry?
Yeah, the oil is the biggest problem of doing breaded fish and the reason that I try do it the minimum possible. I am a little chubby and eat too much fried thing won't be good to me and my health. Happy mylotting.

Ok. I will try this recipe at home this week and after this I will comment here. I have never heard about this way to do fish fillet, but it looks like a very good way.
The idea of use the paper towel to decrease the amount of oil before put the flour is very good and important to our health. Do you have a specific kind of fish that you use to do this recipe? Thanks for your help.
