A little girl and her father were crossing a bridge. The Father was kind of scared so he asked his little daughter..Sweetheart,please hold my hand so that you dont fall into the river. The little girl said, No Dad, you hold my hand. what's the difference? ..Asked the puzzled father. There's a big difference.replied the little girl. Question: If you'll be ask what is the big difference?

If the girl holds on the bond will be broken when the time comes for parting. If the father holds the hand, the father will always be with her where ever she might go. It has something to do with memories.

yeah ghuyz!..each of us have own definition..and for me..i will tell my father that..if I hold your hand and something happens to me,chances are that I may let your hand go.But If you hold my hand, I know for sure that no matter what happens, you will never let my hand go. In any relationship, the essence of trust is not in its bind, but in its bond..So hold the hand of the person whom you love rather than expect them to hold yours..

Is this saying it is better to give than receive? Why does it not sound more reasonable that it is always better to receive, more money, more love, more everything, but alas the opposite is true, give, give and give and receive is better. I like this story, and thanks for putting it here for me to read. :-)

hey this story is familiar. i think the reason for the little girl is that when his father would hold her hand she won't let go of him?? oh! i forgot the story but i know that the girl's reply is cute! :)

In this story, it should indeed be the father to hold the hand of the little girl. His hand being big , could take a good grip of the hand of the girl, in case she slips.
