Why I see stars on most usernames?

How do they get the stars? I see usernames with 10 stars and some with 9, 8, 7 and 6 stars. How do you get them? I only have few posts since I began mylot a few days ago. I have been here for a short while so if the basis of having stars on my username is the tenure of my being a member, maybe it will take me awhile to get those, right?

When you see a response you can give it a plus or a minus. This highers or lowers the members My Lot reputation. Every My Lot member gets given a star as soon as he or she goes past 100 posts. Every star is a different color and my one currently in blue. It has a 10 on it. My Lot members like to see quality responses. Soon you will have 100 and know which star you have but it can change depending on reputation.

Wow! Thank you for posting this one. I got to know what's the used of the stars. So, just keep posting quality post and when you reach 100 in your ratings, you will be amazed if how is your reputation on mylot.
You can do it. Never quit posting here on mylot. you will enjoy here as well us you will earn if you will just be diligent on posting some discussions here. God Bless you!

Hello at the beginning when I started to write here so I thought why I do and what not.
you will have when the first star write 100 posts.
stars are from 1 to 10 I wish you to get the big star that is 10.

I do not have any star yet,but as far as I know those stars determine the rating of a user.1 is the lowest,and the highest is 10.
