I really like reading books, through the book i felt i could get a new things and new knowledge. But in recent years, i feel a lot more to get a lot of new knowledge from the internet compare to the book.
How about you, whether you choose the book or the internet, to gain new knowledge?

hi,
because we are in high technology, there are many things that can help us to make it easy, like reading of books, instead books we have internet, for me its better to read in the internet because we can search it easily and aside from that it has many more information included their.

I feel that books and the internet are two different entities. Even though you can learn from both and be entertained from both, they are two different things. I love reading books and I also love surfing the net. Each of them have a specific purpose. I also know that going online can become addictive and take time away from other things you like to do. But, don't give up reading books just because of the internet.

For really up-to-date knowledge, I think the internet is more useful. The whole process of printing, publishing and distributing a book can take a while, so much that by the time it gets into your hands, especially if you live in a different country than the publisher, that some of the information inside may already be a little outdated. That is why there are always new editions of textbooks coming out every other year.

I'm starting to hate the internet. Yes, I know that I'm on it right now. But DANG. The internet is making us really stupid. And it's giving me a headache.
I prefer a print book to the web. I don't even like to use the internet for research papers. I can never find what I really need online. I prefer to read a real book. Better for the eyes and better for the brain.

When i do researches i use the internet. It is faster and easier than finding a book in a library. But if I want to read for pleasure, like reading Harry potter series, I'll use books. It is better and there is no flare or radiation coming from the monitor.

I like to do both things and both occupy some time of my day..
But if you would ask me to choose then I won't be able to choose any one instead of other in these two..
Some times I finish all books and if I am surfing in those days then try to find one from my interest on net..
Many books I have read on my laptop where internet were available so it's very tough for me to say about any one from these two..

The internet is certainly a more instant and readily available tool for finding out reference topics, recipes etc and I use it all the time for these things. However I still love to read fiction from a book - either a literal book or an electronic one on my ipad!
Occasionally when I have been inquisitive about a book I have read a few pages of one from the internet just to wet my appetite - I then either buy the book, download it or borrow it from the library if I like what I see!

HI fitri,
Even with the ease of getting information on the web, I still prefer the printed page. It is easy on the eyes, does not need battery and can be carried anywhere with little risk of electrical damage.
It would be a big deal if I drop my laptop from a favorite perch on a tree than dropping a book from it. All I have to do is to retrieve the paperback and continue reading.

I still prefer to read books. I have many collections of books of various subjects. The internet is also a great source of knowledge. I just think that books are more copled ansd more compact. Books also brings you the feel of "collecting' something.

Hello fitriadi
I think both reading books and surfing internet have their own good in own way. What books can give us,internet can't give and what internet can give us,book can't.
When we read any book,we usually learn from the ground about the topic in a very proper way that lasts for very long time sometimes for always in our mind. But when we surf through internet, we just pick some points from one place, some from other, that always make irregular to keep remember. We can't revise all that. But also we can't do any project without internet as it has all the information and search engines take us exactly to the place where we want to go.

I think both give new knowledge. There are a lot of material readily accessible over the internet. By linking related articles, a variety of information could be drawn in one-sitting. However, there are better explanations to be found in books. On the other hand, books are well though-of and written extensively. It actually depends on your need. If you need readily accessible information, surf the internet; if you need extensive articles, read books.

It just depends on how I feel at the moment. Sometimes my eyes gets glary staring at the computer so I just turn it off. I think reading for me is more me time as far as self improvement.
