When I think of what are the most toughest jobs today..I don't really know because I haven't done all of them. In my experience though my toughest job I'd have to say that I have ever done is being a parent.
Being a parent is not easy. All the responsibilities that come with it is so much. Even when they're not living with you anymore and they have their own lives, you still keep your phone on just in case there's an emergency..when can we rest from it?

I agree that parenthood is a hard job. Also the manual labor jobs are hard. Working repetitive jobs would be difficult. Continually doing the same thing over and over for hours would drive me nuts. I think a job where you have to make fast and hard decisions would be difficult also.

I do not think parenting is a tough job. I feel that a job that you are not good at is the toughest job. For instance, I cannot build a house or do any construction work. Of course my sons were easy to raise. I have been out of touch with them mainly because they were wanting me to move into an apartment. I do see them once in a while, but really that insistence that I move into an apartment really hurt.

Hello, Zamara!
Even though I'm not a parent yet, and don't think i will be in the very near future, I don't think of parenting as a job, but as a condition. A natural condition that we , as people are programmed to perform at one point. But you did point out a very important thing when it comes to tough jobs : responsibility! When you are responsible for those around you, you're in a tough spot. I think of all those engineers and mechanics that coordinate teams that work in harsh conditions like marine platforms, mines, and construction sites in extreme places, of the designers and makers of car parts that have to think everything up to the last millimeter and find everyday desk jobs extremely boring.
But the toughest jobs of all, I think are flight control and pilot. You have to be extremely precise and fast in your decisions because many people's lives literally depend on you. And if today they are helped by technology, in the past, it had to have been a real challenge and I have to say I totally respect their work and dedication.
I think that beats parenting any day :P
Happy posting!

Oh, i am not parent yet..I think that is hard job for you since it is your experience..
I think as becoming parents you have more job added like if you have much kids am sure you are to face the any adversities in your life..Especially the kids if they are sick, and you did not know what to do..
And also to care them in the little age, until they grow up..But other parents say that it is easy for them,i think it depends..
