I am in the process of building a website. Initially I chose to go with free website providers. As per some of my best (online / offline) friends' suggestion, I am carefully studying the sites. I need some good website where I can have ad free website, easy to design (using the inbuilt website builder of course) but should allow me to use jpg / gif / png picture files and facilities to insert visitor counts, put one or more pictures in the banner on my own, etc.
Wish some of my friends here too would help me find one.

I would like to build a website but to fine a website providers that support what you are asking is pretty hard!Sorry if i'm not much of a help but you might want to abdicate some of those "requirements" in order to find a goo one !

i think you should try weebly.com or webs.com both both are free website providers and also provides good tools to design your site...!

yes they two are recommended by my other friends too. But in weebly gif animated picture not working. otherwise its fantastic. webs seems bit complicated for me.

Well, Blogger also has the same issue.
While you are looking for a "perfect" one, why don't you try to search for an alternative? :)
If you want to put animated gif, then you may try to use tinypic.com. It is free and easy to use - and of course you can upload animated gif there and then place it on your website :)

There are a few excellent website providers, some for free, some with fees but quite reasonable. Have you heard about homestead.com ? They services seem quite impressive. Many business people are using this service. You might want to take a look at it.

HI NICE SEEING ONE MORE FEATHER IN MY CAP BY WAY OF YOUR VALUABLE COMMENT. THANKS FOR THE SAME. YES IT SEEMS SO NICE. I JUST VISITED HOMESTEAD DOT COM. Will give a try. Got to know whether they provide FREE website until I wish to upgrade or they give it for fixed period like a month or two with in which I have to upgrade. Let me check.
