I've now noticed a "Life" on the computer

Are you sitting at your computer screen for more than hour while it's a perfectly sunny day outside. Are there places you could go right now but instead are on mylot? (guilty ;p) Now I do have an excuse for myself since I have class in a moment and my laptop just so happens to be with me until then. I've noticed that I could stroll my campus and feel the nice cool breeze outside yet I'm sitting in class waiting for it to start. (roughly 25 minutes til then)
It's occurred to me that I now have a small sub life on the internet. WIth practically everything really. Everyday I must check a variety of sites before I begin my day such as my social networking sites (easily accessed from my phone as well), my online earning sites (mylot is a favorite ;D), and still a few more.
It's become an almost addiction and for my online earning a small obsession to increase earnings. Though I must say the extra 50 dollars a month helps. How we give ourselves to the internet when the beautiful sky outside is just there waiting to be enjoyed or a day at the movies, or even just reading a good book under the shade has been moved from our priorities and replaced with internet interests. Are you in a situation similar to this or do similar things? Opinions most welcome.

Hello blackwinged
I think all the members here, having star above than 5 and all new comers who must had spent many days to search a legitimate site and they finally got this have the life as you described.I am also a new one but this site have make me to give this a lot of time.Besides this I give a lot of time just wasting on my PC.I also want to live the outside world but when I go there I feel better here. Its very dangerous to us as I am losing all my other interests.

The internet is a great place and wonderful with its many new ways to earn and socialize. But i don't think that anything can compare to a day at the beach, or a day with friends, or partying all night. Its good to even yourself out with other things as well :)

Sure, I do exactly the same. What started as a pastime, turned into almost a complete working day. Checking mails, news, posting, blogging, etc. Living on a tropical island I see the blue sky through the window, glued to my keyboard. Addicted no, I can take a day off and go to the beach, but it's what someone prefers, and right now I like this internet life!

I have a hard time doing what I enjoy because of work, school, and other responsibilities. Still I do enjoy a lot of the things I do online. Though i can't help but wish someone would bash my computer into bits so I am forced to enjoy some outside fun. Oh well perhaps when school and work slow down a bit I can enjoy msyelf a bit more then.

Ofcourse there are many uses with internet.now a days most of them are addicted to systems.but in my opinion if we over use systems,we are losing every happy moment in our lifes.we should use them to know knowledge, not addiction.
