What kind of device do you do your myLotting on?

Smartphones, tablets, laptops and desktops...there are so many ways to do our computing today! Some devices make myLot a breeze and others can hinder the myLot experience. What device (or gadget) is your favorite one for doing myLot on? Are you a keyboard and screen person or a tablet person?

I use a Dell Laptop. I enjoy it alot and use it alot. Everyday I am on it. I have never used a smartphone or tablet to work online or text. Just the laptop either here or at the library. I also like to hear of new technology but I doubt I will change much from what I am doing now.

Ya, I don't like change and it comes very slowly for me.

Well, if what you do now still works, and if it is still compatible with everything, why change just to be cool? I think it gets to be aware of whats happening, but being a slave of the trends isn't so good. :)

My only form of internet connection is my desktop computer, so that's how I participate at myLot.

I doubt it. Really, I prefer my desktop computer. Although, I'm toying with the idea of a laptop. I'm not real gadgetry inclined, so I doubt I'd be interested in other internet connections, though I never say never, hahaha. I don't even own a cell phone!

A laptop is portable, but a desktop has more computing power! It is kind of refreshing to see a non-hard core techie! You're not missing out on much not having a cell phone - all that does is make ya available for harassment all waking hours of the day. ;)

There is nothing quite like the good old reliable desktop. If you could, would you try out other devices to use myLot or is the desktop your preference? :)

I always use my laptop for myLotting. I definitely prefer a fast laptop or desktop over other devices such as tablets or smart phones, because for me, a laptop or desktop is much easier to use. However, some laptops or desktops that do not have good internet connection or that are old are too slow, and it can get very annoying trying to navigate web pages when everything takes too long to load. Luckily, I have a very fast laptop and internet connection!

Well, for me, it is mainly the fact that I am inexperienced with using other devices such as a smart phone or tablet. Also, with touch screens, it's not always easy to type what you want to say because a lot of times you mistakenly hit another letter, and you end up with scrambled words.

I've seen that happen on youtube so many times! I imagine learning the key layout on a tablet is a bit harder - after all, that flat surface has nothing for one's fingers to distinguish. :)

Back in high school I had a friend who had a 1990 laptop. Even then it was an ancient thing - at 2 and a half inches thick! She managed to run a primitive form of Windows on it. I can't imagine doing myLot on something like that! So I agree that laptops are great for myLot - if they are not to old or slow. So what is about touch screen devices that are more difficult to use? Is it the screen size or something else? :)

Well that's good! There's nothing worse than a problematic desktop. So between your experience with the laptop and your present experience with the desktop, which do you prefer? :)

Using, being mobile is a plus. You can sit and compute where you feel like doing it!

I do prefer laptop as it is more convenient to use. We can use it as per our need, sitting anywhere even in the sofa or in bedroom.

Im More of a keyboard person. i have a lap top and an ipad but i prefer the laptop cause its not the easiest to type on the ipad cause if you touch on wrong letter it will try to fix it but yet its not the word you want. i have done that a couple times so i like to not worry about all of that and juts use my laptop .. :)

It sounds like Apple has some stuff to work in relation to the iPad. I imagine typing on defined keys a lot more comfortable then typing on a flat surface. :)

Now I have to go all over again. I prefer my Macbook Pro for writing on my lot, because I can use all the fingers of my hand in dong so instead of pressing one key with one finger at a time. I will use the iPhone if I am somewhere using someone else's wi-fi like at my sons, but then it would have to be something extremely important. It also depends on how fast the wi fi is. Luckily I have Apple Extreme and use the fastest speed.

Typing one letter at a time? That must take awhile! No wonder you prefer your Macbook over your smartphone. I imagine though that the Apple Extreme comes in handy for decent wifi. How does it work anyway? :)

HI Awinds! I do not own a smartphone or tablet (I wish I could have one). I primarily use desktop computers for mylotting, besides using my Symbian operated mobile device. I always find it convenient to write responses through a full fledged key board and big screen. I could type faster and quicker. What do you use for mylotting?

I hear ya on that one - I've had my on on a tablet for a long time. It looks like such a cool computing experience! It sounds like you can do your myLotting stationary and on the go. :) I use a laptop with Windows. It's not unique or flashy but it does the job.

That sounds like great arrangement! I imagine using a tablet is easier than trying to work with a tiny smartphone screen! :)

I mylot on my laptop and/or my smartphone. But to be honest, I prefer doing it on my laptop. The screen on the smartphone is a lot smaller than the smartphone and it's kinda annoying dragging pages here and there. SO yeah I usually mylot on my laptop, but when I'm out or bored to turn my laptop, I do it on my smartphone.

I can image that myLot might be difficult to use with a smartphone - as far as I know myLot does not have a mobile version of their website so on God knows how much dragging ya have to do! Still its nice to myLot on the go. :)

I'm a keyboard and screen person. I use at home a laptop and at work I use a desktop. I am not so skilled with small devices like cellphones or other similar. I need to have a proper size of screen in order to read well. Also I can't imagine to chat while I'm travelling in the bus. I am not used to.

I do agree that keyboards are most productive. When one has experience, one does not need to look at the keyboard when one types. However I imagine this is much harder to do with a touch screen. I also agree that the smartphone's screen is just a tad to small for serious internet use (like reading).

I use mylot at Internet Cafe shop. This is where I also check emails and play online games. So far I am new to mylot and I haven't make any yet except the .38$ that says on my balance. I would like to invite all the people on this Icafe shop but I don't know the policies of mylot if they allow it or not. I will try invite few friends and will see what happens.
