..wasting money paying your internet bills"
I think this is one of the most common reason why people are online. I'm online because I love downloading files, videos, music and software. I rarely upload files (probably seed in torrents) I'm not much active in forum sites or social working sites I just leave my computer running while online to keep downloading files. For 24 hours my laptop is on and online I only use around 4-5 hours visiting sites like mylot,facebook,etc.. What is your main purpose why you are online?

My main reason for being online is social. I have facebook, and I check it out about once each. I also belong to dating sites. Plus, of course, My Lot, which is purely social for me. I also use emails a lot, where I keep in touch with friends,,or get job alerts, etc.
I used to be online to earn money but I gave that up a while ago.

i used to just upload and download files too, but now that I'm working, I rarely have time to download at home, with the expenses ballooning every week, it's impractical to download.
Now, I'm online for research and socializing, and of course, earning money online :)

Hi Jacruz!
Ever since the first time I had my own internet connection at home, it has been my first agenda to download anything that I like, from songs to movies to video clips, software, or anything. But I wouldn't say that I am wasting my internet bills if I am not downloading anything. If I'm not downloading anything (which is rare), I myLot, I chat with friends, I research about things (either for work or school), or I just watch videos in streaming sites like youtube.
