Hi Guys. My family and I left our house for a night to stay in a hotel. The hotel has no-pets-allowed rule. We put plentiful of cat food in her plate so she won't starve, and we put her toys are all over the floor so she won't get bored. But when we came back the next day, the plate was still full. She ate only 1/8 of the food. After a week, she's still doesn't have appetite. She eat very seldom.
Do you have idea why she's acting like this?

i've the same experienced...
i rarely stay at home...and my house in a state of repair...so i have to put him in cage...thats for long time, he just eat and doing evrything inside his cage..
but when evrything finished..and i could spend more time with him...he seem just angry to me...even not inside his cage anymore...all day long he just sleep sleep and sleep...even i try to bother him..he wont to move...he wont to open his eyes..like he wont to see mee...and being very quiet than before...he just wake to eat or pup...when i try to get near/close he just avoid me...im very sad that time...
but now i try harder to get his affection..and slowly but sure he seem come back to me...even i still cant hug him, he something call me with his cute sound.."miaw" or follow me when im bring something ehehe...hope the same to your cat...and your relation getting better...
but, if continue she still wont eat...be serius..u should check her...we wont anything bad happen to our lovely [family] pet :)

I have certainly know my cats to get very upset when I have been awy overnight, or a few nights. Upset enough to not eat at all. However as you returned after one night, she should have eaten by now. One week is a long time for a cat to eat nothing. Is her od food still in the plate? They won't eat old food? Does her plate need cleaning, as cats are very fuusy.
One thing about dried food, with cats, is is the smell of freshness they like with it. If you give the plate of dry food a shake, this moves the fresh smell around and they are stimulated by it.
Plus, you can try her on a different brand, just to get her motivated again. If she doesn't eat within 24 hours, I would be taking her to the vet.

We give her new food, and the plate is also cleaned. She eats her food, but only if put the dry cat foods in our hands. If it's in the plate, or if we are not beside her, then she will not eat.
Also I noticed (even before), that my cat doesn't want to eat canned foods. She only eats dry. I bought canned foods from tuna to vegetables, and meat, but she doesn't want it :(

He could be sick? Or maybe he felt bad because you left him alone.I think you need to cheer him up so that he will go back to his normal self. Play with him and cuddle him so that he will feel that he is still being loved. Just observe him if he will continue to be like that then you should bring him to the vet for check up.

It would naturally point to her sulking but it could also be a coincidence in that she could be having a health problem. No harm in getting it cleared as soon as possible. I have not heard of cats sulking but dogs really do.

I don't wanna scare you but if I were you I'd go to the veterinary right now! It's very dangerous for a cat being a week eating very seldom. When a cat doesn't eat, their own body transforms their liver into fats, that is called "Feline hepatic lipidosis" and if that happens, your cat is gonna have serious health problems in the future.
A cat stops eating when they are feeling poorly for some reason, maybe they ate something that it's hurting them, maybe it's just a furball or it could be something more serious, please don't let your cat to be more time without eating!
