women and haircut... is there something wrong?

Most women would have a haircut when they are depressed or heart broken. They do this , because they feel ugly and would want to look and feel good. I am like that too. When i feel lonely i would sometimes go to a salon and have my hair cut differently. I guess, when we have our very long hair cut into a short one, people who knows you, would certainly feel surprised. You would certainly be asked, what made you do that. It's the sudden change that makes them ask.

yes,girls are always matter the appearence stuff including haircut, we do cut our hair with our emotion, if we departed with our lover, the first thing come to our mind is to change our appearence so that we can get rid of that depressed feeling.

When a person is used to seeing a person in a particular way it shocks them when the person makes some change. When i cut my hair a while back my husband was mad because it just came all of a sudden i guess lol. No it doesn't mean that a woman is having some sort of crisis if she cuts her hair. Usually it is the guys that go all wide eyed with shock when a woman in their life chops off her hair lol.. one less thing they have control over i guess :P

hello, Yeah, I also heard this from my friends especially when I am having my short haircut but for me that is not an issue because yes I just want a new look and that's it. But my friend have their haircut because they are heart broken? And I dont think that is connected at all. ha ha I just didnt get the idea of changing your look because you just want to move on.

Women should have long hair. This is always what my friend who is a member of a religious group "Ang Dating Daan" told me when we had a chance to see each other. He even quote a verse in the Bible. I know he is correct but I still have hair cut. Long hair makes me look older and I don't know how to care a long hair. The last time that I had a long hair was when I was still in high school and early college years. And it was not a really nice hair, there were plenty of split ends. That was when I decided to make a change which until now my hair is still short.

Wow! My friends are like that, it's like when you completely change your hairstyle like cutting it from long to really short, my friends would think something terrible has happened or you've mentally changed! I reckon that's really absurd, I don't really care what hairstyle you want, it's our decisions and you make it. Whatever new look you want, you choose it, you don't want your female friends hanging around you telling you "why did you cut your hair?!" I have a friend who once had long hair but cut it really short. Then she kept cutting it even though it wasn't long and my other friends complain all the time. I don't care and I'm quite supportive because it was her decision to cut her hair, it doesn't change who she is. What's with some females and long hair?!

Hello, dear.:-) I don't know exactly what's with women and a sudden hairdo. . But, I guess most women who are bored and wanting to change would definitely do her appearance and the first thing that comes to mind is to get a new haircut/hairstyle. I have long straight hair and when I broke up with my bf I had a short bob. It has nothing to do with the break up but there is something inside that I wanted to change. I was bored and I wanted a change. Maybe because If I do change everything might change as well. Heck, I really don't know though...

All of my female friends get their hair cut from time to time, however I have one friend who gets a drastic haircut whenever she is depressed or heart broken. Just three weeks ago my friend and her boyfriend of five years had broken up and my friend had gotten her haircut. Her hair had gone down to waist and she had cut it to her chin. whenever she gets her haircut she does not tell anyone and then when she makes plans to see us that is when we see how short her hair is. I cut my hair whenever I get split ends or just want a change. I am long overdue for a haircut, but right now I need to save as much money as possible. My husband just got his cut today, but we could not afford for both of us to get it cut so I have to wait.

that is the usual impression of people, when abrupt change of hairstyle they would think girl is broken heart or something which i think correlated with your past posts! hahaha but i am hoping everything is fine now. I am not following your discussion lately because of busy schedule..

Actually I don't feel the need to change my hair at all. It's long and dark and I like to keep it that way. It was cut only twice. Once my mom made me do it after she divorced so she cut off us girls our long hair. Later I did it because the hairdresser said if I would cut of my long hair I would never regret it. Well I can tell you I did regret it from the first second on. It seems to be hot to cut of long hair and most hairdressers don't like it because they don't know how to take care of it or simple are not able to wash long hair (sinks are too small) and making a big mess out of it if they try to comb it. Personally I don't like women with short hair looking like a guy. There is nothing hot or female about that.
