Who's doing this again?

I saw what you saw when I logged on today too and I find it pathetic It is sad to think that among us are some real sad sick people who have nothing to do all day every day but hunt down their target and push a button and then wait for the next day to see the result of their 'work'

That is why they say there are all kinds of trolls in Mylot. They go around causing problems and rating people negatively for no reason.

I don't know what exactly are their motives in purposely negative rating others. Maybe others miseries are their joy. Unfortunately, we can't control the hands that rate us but for goodness sake, in the spirit of mylotting we should make mylot as a fun site and not distort the fun by going around misusing the privileges given to us.

I don't really pay a lot of attention to my star or anyone else's, If I were to notice mine going down I would look for a negative rating on my response or discussions, I have gotten a few of those over the years. You cannot work with many people without offending someone once in a while. If this bothers you alot, try to be careful how you answer and to start discussion where the subject is not contrversal. Well, I hate to hear this is happening to anyone. I hope that they get their numbers back up higher than they were and soon also. They should let all their friends know, so they can be sure to rate all of their comments positively.

dear LK, No comment on this matter. I know someone who is active and all topics were on top yet the star remains low. I don't know what is happening with mylot. My earning are having deduction everyday and my rating is also going down...my addiction become less for all these things....

hi letran several p eople have mentioned the same thing happening to them and I do wish we could prevail these people who minus for no damned reason but meanness to get off mylot and find someplace else to do your slimey business. we are told be mylot admins not to minus because y ou simply do not agree with someone or worse yet dislike that person. go play some where else we do not need trolls here at all.Mylot is a family place where we should feel safe and happy and enjoy mylotting not a place to play sick g ames. go somewhere else trolls.

hi letran so the trolls h ave not left. I had hoped mayge the rest hadf been caught. yes I agree they are two faced and snake like too.When i was first here in no time I got a blue star at 98 percent b ut one day I came back and someone had taken it down to only fifty percent. Upset I contacted mylot and they set about to watch and they caught two men who were angry at me an elderly lady for posting a discussion that smoking was bad for your health,the two men had stayed up for 24 hours and negative rated everything I had posted, they bragged to mylot that they fixed that old lady,. Mylot admins prompty banned then, but my star was only put back to yellow but enough mylotters plused me it rose to nine now finally I am at 95.51 percent and blue star.I am hoping that the admins now has more sophisticated software to catch the trolls this time.

we know that this is being mentioned in the guidelines, that we are suggested to rate user's discussions, responses, comments and even photos. but i didn't see there telling we are not going to be paid or we will earn more if we have good reputation or less if we have lower star. isn't the way mylot pays us by the way we participate, how we perform, how we write? with the thinking, i do not totally rely or be bothered by the stars.

I have seen a lot of people recover from negative star ratings. I am not sure what one person has to do to get such a low star rating. I guess make a lot of people really angry!

Those that do mass neg rating do so as a childish form of revenge. I don't get it honestly since it isn't much revenge since the person getting neg ratings doesn't get what's going on. It's like.. someone says your skirt is ugly in high school you go spreading rumors to make them unpopular or something.. i dunno lol.. By the way i am curious as to why does it really matter if you get too many neg ratings? does it affect your earnings or anything like that? Am just curious..

hi LK, Well this is happening to anyone even before and we can't do anything about it trolls are everywhere some members has multiple accounts here you cannot say who deserve it or not, sometimes they abuse the system happy mylotting

oh i felt bad for that person being rate as negative. Maybe a mylotter becomes mean for a reason. I hope this one will just stop for its non sense.Pulling someone down is an awful thing LK.

Oh my! I'm sad about this but I'm hoping that this stops already. ;)

This is a very cruel thing to do to someone. We all just may never know who is for us, or whom is against us. We just have to take our chances at myLot by being ourselves without feeling like someone is going to intentionally harm us. I have been rated negatively a couple of times and I just don't understand why the mean people always have blue stars, while the good people have negative stars. It just isn't fair at all. Yes, we better start praying, because there is just evilness in myLot.

Have you ever considered the possibility that maybe it's a comment they made on a discussion that offended people, so they rated them negatively. People like to assume that their friends are perfect and would never do anything wrong, but it's possible that they do deserve the lowered points. Loyalty is good, don't let the fact that they are your friends cloud your judgement

It is sad that this is still a problem in the Mylot community. I walked away from here for years and that was one of the reasons. I came back here to support and encourage my wife in her efforts to improve her written English. I'm not too worried whether I make a bundle of cash or whether everyone likes me. It does bug me to see my rating take a massive hit for nothing and it has happened and part of me is expecting it to happen again. As far as I know it does figure into how much we get paid so neg rating someone out of spite is a really dirty thing to do. There are legitimate reasons for giving a neg rating but I haven't come across one since I rejoined the site. I don't plus people because they are my friends. I plus anyone who makes a contribution to one of my discussions or a discussion I have participated in. Outside of that I may plus something I randomly read that impressed me whether I make a comment or not. Hopefully your friends rating with rebound and Mylot will eventually find a way to root out the trolls.
