Drops of Jupiter is my favorite song 10 years ago even up to now. I just recently heard it and it reminds me of my fun high school years. This song was an international hit and won two Grammy Awards in 2002. It was sung by an American rock band named Train. They are also the same artist who released the song "Hey, Soul Sister" and "Marry Me" recently.
What is your favorite song 10 years ago? Surely it brings back old memories.

Britney Spears songs are around that year. Probably 10 to 15 years ago like Hit me baby one more time and Oops I did it again. But she still have songs today that are still good. But mostly are dance songs.

I'm glad that you like this song as well. Though I don't get the exact meaning because the song is full of metaphors. What I just know is the song writer dedicate this to his mom.

Hi chiwasaki!
I was in college ten years ago and I had a gay friend who loved to listen to the radio. He was my constant source of new songs. In 2001, checking out the internet, the songs I loved were Never Had a Dream Come True by S Club 7, This I Promise You by N Sync, Stronger by Britney Spears, Nobody Wants to be Lonely by Ricky Martin and Christina Aguilera, Breathless by Corrs, Love Don't Cost a Thing by JLo, Drive by Incubus, Best I Ever Had by Vertical Horizon (reminds me of my bf back then), Bent by Matchbox 20, Jaded by Aerosmith, I'm Real by JLo feat. Ja Rule, All for You by Janet Jackson (we danced to this song in our Acquaintance Party that year), Bootylicious by Destiny's Child, Again by Lenny Kravitz, Thank You by Dido, Lady Marmalade by Christina Aguilera, Pink, Mya and Lil Kim, Clint Eastwood by Gorillaz, When It's Over by Sugar Ray, Survivor by Destiny's Child (some of my friends thought this was a noisy song but I loved it anyway), Hanging by a Moment by Lifehouse, Get the Party Started by Pink and Fallin' by Alicia Keys.

Again by Lenny Kravitz is one of the sweetest songs for me. I love the band Gorillaz because they are unique. You can't see the band members but only the animation.

Train is a great band and this is one of their greatest songs. I like hanging by a moment as well. I like it more in acoustic version. The voice of the singer is really great.

Korn is the rock band right? My classmates when I was in high school a very fond of Korn and other rock bands. If we don't have classes, they will play their loud music. And surprisingly, I got used to it.

Old songs has a deep meaning. Some of the new songs are just words with tune. But old songs somehow has a story behind it.

Did you happen to hear that song last night on the show Raising Hope? Because I was singing it today because I heard it on the show last night. I like Train's newest song, Save Me, San Fransisco. My favorite song about ten years ago? I just don't remember.

I think I heard it from a radio or from a vehicle passing by. I haven't heard the new song of Train yet but I will check it. I'm sure it is a great song as well.

I love that song even up to now! Let's see... 10 years ago, I was 15 so I was really into pop music. I can't think of a particular song right now, but Britney spears and Christina Aguilera was really popular in our age group back then. Not the baby one more time era though, I think Britney was on her third album back then. Nelly was also another popular artist during high school, I remember his song, "Hot in Here" being one of the favorites during cheer dance routines.

I really liked the song "Drops of Jupiter" as well. In fact, 10 years ago I was constantly going to a karaoke bar because I really enjoyed it. Well, the KJ sang this song on a pretty regular basis and he sang it really, really well.
However, I would have to say that one of my favorite songs from that time frame would have been "Back When I Knew it All," which is a country song. I really liked it because it seemed to sing the truth.

You mean 9 years ago? You can't wait for 2012?
I don't have favorite songs from this particular year, if you mean 2002. I just have to check Billboard Hot 100 that year and see who was HOT at the time.

There are so many songs that bring back memories. The Moody Blues, Dolly Parton, Patrick Swayze, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, just to name afew. There are some from junior high and high school. Ones I used to like to dance to. Ones that still send a chill through me when ever I hear them. Too many to mention.
