Hello,
Well, I want to discuss a topic which is very important for me and many newbies here.
The minimum threshold of money is $10, with which I agree with as it is needed to run the site properly.
But many people who join are never able to reach even 1/3 of this. As about me, I am less than halfway. The people who spend their time, mostly new people, tend to leave because after making a dollar, they feel exhausted and see the goal too far.
Same is the case with me. As about tasks, it also requires an investment of $10, I wish to start some task and utilize my earnings some way so that I have a reason to keep going. Can't it be possible to be able to change earnings into cash deposits for tasks. I know that you don't allow it due to particular reasons, but ain't there any way that could implement this feature?
Maybe the minimum money to be transferred be $5 and every transfer made be checked? I don't mind a fee cut from it as far as I can see my activity here getting utilized.
That is all, I wanted to request.
Thank you and waiting for opinions of other people.

I'm not a moderator or an admin but I have been here for a long time and I can understand why myLot may seem hard for new users like yourself.
Firstly earnings are not ours until paid and they could change, either up or down, before pay day due to reduced earnings if we lose our posts due to deletions and/or additional earnings when earnings from deleted posts are reallocated among active users.
Secondly it may seem difficult to reach the minimum of $10 but I can assure you (and I hope that some will come to confirm) that many new users reach their furst payout within one month of joining. If youdo things inthe way that myLot suggest then you can reach yours too. Once youhave seen a payout from myLot the next ones come even sooner

No-one should blame myLot if they are not earning here, even those who are only here for one month.
If you type, you earn. If you don't, you don't, period

The fact that many new users are unable to reach the $10 minimum is not myLot's fault.
"New users", are just that... they are new, and therefore do not know everything about the site and how to make the best of it. They must read the Discussion Guidelines http://www.mylot.com/o/guidelines.aspx and FAQs http://www.mylot.com/o/faq.aspx very carefully, as doing so will allow them to learn more about myLot, and answer any questions they may have.
If people would follow the guidance of the discussion guidelines, FAQ, admin, and senior members of myLot... they just might see their earnings increase! There are certain things that you will NOT earn for. Such as non-quality responses, discussions that violate the guidelines, etc... So, doing these things (which many new members do by mistake) you are not going to earn much.
It is fairly easy to reach the $10 minimum, IF you are using myLot the way it is intended for it to be used. Many members who have been here for a while are making well over the $10 minimum each month. Sometimes double or triple!
So, if you are not earning like you would like to in myLot... then it is nobody's fault but your own. MyLot should not have to change their minimum payout just because some people do not understand how to achieve it.

Also, the reason you have to fund your account to start tasks, is because if you want to ask people to complete a task for you, you must pay them to do so. Funding the $10 before starting your tasks ensures that the member's who complete your task will be paid.
You do not have to fund $10 to complete tasks submitted by other members, to earn from completing tasks. You only have to fund the $10 if you wish to submit a task for others to complete.

Oh, and the star beside your name determines how much you earn. People with a blue "ten" star will earn more for what they type than someone with a lower star.
To get your star higher, you must post quality posts so that other members can rate it with a "+", which means they are rating your post positive. The more positive ratings you get, the more your reputation xx/100 goes up.

okay Angelee_27, I do not refuse any of your words. But, the part where you says, it is the fault of the newbies if they can't reach minimum threshold, I find it a bit too strong. Please don't generalize it.
Yes, older people here are earning good here, but what about the new guys who join here, and it is not always the case that they are breaking guidelines. I know the guidelines very well, but it is the inactivity that stops me from reaching payout.
Many people have time constraints but they still want to participate here, is it that we are not invited then?
I just want it to be a bit easier for us to utilize our work, and am not neglecting the facts because of which the rules were made the way they are. Am just hoping for a new way through which we could also use our earnings, not particularly getting the money in paypal.

akshay you need to be more participating to earn your ten dollars. I make at least twice that. youo must do quality posts and not so short or inane, make them meaty, as for t he posting of tasks that something to ask GoAskAlice by just private messaging him, its a him now named A lex and he will help you out on the task issues you have. but its really easy to make ten dollars in two week even if you settle down to do quality work rather than quantity, quantity does not count much as it usually means the person is not doing quality posting but just dashing stuff off that's really poor
quality.so talk to Alex about the tasks problem and slow down on the posts so you are making really top notch posts, quality not quantity does it here.vecause of health problems I have only made 14 dollars so far which is low for me, I made twenty five dollars last month.

hi akshay I did not say it cou ld but he might have some in sight that we others do not have about the tasks. I was just telling you how its been for me here and that we are paid per quality of our posts so no two people will get the same amount at all.they have no fixed rates as each person is individually assessed as to their quality of their posts.so if what I said does not impress you that I cannot help but so many people leave here when others of us do make money here and they just will not read the information so they do not know what they are doing and thus bobble along losing discussions and posts as they break the mylot rules they should have read but did not. sorry you are having a hard time making money here but it takes some participation.

Yes, I agree, the other reason because of which activity is low is because of lazy or very money minded people starting discussions here, that was the topic of my previous discussion which didn't get many replies unfortunately.
People start discussions, and don't comment on replies, how will the communication grow? Will you then feel like posting?

I am actually at a little over 7 dollars right now. The tasks from sharonbucks pay very well and are simple enough. There is a current task for US mylotter that can complete and have it accepted in an hour or so. I think that the site is working perfectly as it is.
This isn't a site to make money, the money you make from discussing is just an extra bonus in my opinion. If someone really wishes to make the 10 dollar payout quickly there are other things you can do that will help you reach your goal faster. I would think that the majority of people who leave the site, just really want to make a few quick bucks which is NOT what mylot is about. I enjoy this site very much and love that I can make an extra 10 dollars a month. I will most likely use this for a domain or website later on:)

You can reach your $10 too akshay if you are actively posting as often as you can during the month.

I do like the site, but the earnings as well at the same time. And since I post whenever I find something interesting and I don't run after the earnings like "many people who do so here" , I do not reach $10. But I do make a few bucks which come because am doing good work. Are they not supposed to be rewarded?
In your case, you made money through tasks, if someone is not good in English, in case it is not the primary language, he can't write articles, he is not from US so can't participate in many tasks. The left ones are the comments tasks which have been here for past few days? (or a bit long) . I have been getting those 3 cents once in a while.... but I have to reach $10 .

I had an older accoutn a while back but i decided to delete it since I didn't like the username and was able to reach payout with a little over 250 posts. I have since then have moved and recieved a new computer and started school. I was active for 1 month then had issues. I am back again and the total amount of discussions I've made have been as follow. 1/2 of your started discussions 1/5 of your responded discussions. If you truly wish to reach payout then participate more in discussions, make quality posts.
Mylot has a lot of members from all over the place. Mylot tries hard to make those people more welcome. Not all tasks are for writing articles. If anything some are perfectly fine. I've made a dollar on just posts in this week alone. It's simple to keep earning. You just have to keep at it. If you don't earn enough because you don't have that much activity then you just have to be more active.

I really don't know about this. When I was a newbie in here I have already reached minimum payout in less than a months time. And still now, I reach payout here in myLot even though I am quite inactive in here. My activity diminished greatly but I can still manage to reach the minimum payout of $10 every month. I only spend around 5 hours maximum in myLot everyday now. I suggest that you just go with the flow of discussing in here and enjoy it so that you won't find yourself having a difficult time reaching the payout. If you always try to focus on earning big in every post that you make, then I think you won't succeed much here in myLot. I think that your complaining and stressing yourself over the earnings in here are to blame for you feeling exhausted in trying to earn here in myLot. Just enjoy myLotting and you will be surprised on how much you can actually earn in here. Just my thoughts.

Ay lasta Loter who can confrim what I said onthe previous page !
I can still remember when Ag started out here and was anxious to post and get involved - so some of us gave him a push to get him busy by commenting on his posts with comments that made him come back and respond to us
It worked and he soon got into the swing of things

Not complaining :)
It must have been really fortunate for you to have reached payout in the first attempt ;)
% hours is a good activity period mate, less activity means giving 2 hours or less to mylot.
Yeah, I know, it is easy if the discussion flows but it doesn't in most cases for me. I hope it does now, since I have added more active friends. Another reason, is am not getting any notifications, correct id, boxes checked, sent Alex a message, he has forwarded it to IT department. So just waiting for it to get solved.

10$ is very far out for me and for other newbies here, i hope admin can adjust it but if cant my lot is always on my top list.
just happen mylot is not a SCAM and always PAID the member.

I am also frustrated. I could make my minimum each month if I respond to 20 discussions a day, every single day. While this may appear easy to do, my problem is finding 20 items a day I want to respond to. I could spend 6 hours at this job and only earn .05. But, eventually, I will make it. I will have an extra $10 in my account.

There you go, that is the point many people here opposed to and that is limiting yourself to making a fixed number of posts. Don't try posting for money , post in interesting discussions, come back to reply to comments and you will soon see money coming "Easily" . Well, that is what the other experienced mylotters pointed out. I do have to see how much I earn from this discussion as it came out to be a perfect example for me.
