Hi, new members of mylot - and old ones too. Her and now I will try to put a small tutorial of how to make tons of cash in mylot, following 2 very simple rules. Please note the attached picture. Is divided into 2 parts, one red and one white. Rule no. 1: Read what is written ob red part of attached picture. Read again. Translation: It mean do not waste your time writing answers on subjects you have no clue, you have no interest or you feel you want to flame the author. Simply and kindly move forward to next discussions. Rule no. 2: Pay attention to white part of the attached picture. All marks on picture are to emphasis the "please be as descriptive as possible". This mean to put your best into what you write. Imagine that is the kinda answers you'll get to your started discussions - would you want laconic answers or you would prefer elaborate, full of interesting facts / news / details about the subject? Do answer as you would like to get answers. Be sure that your bit of extra effort will repay you in time. Respect the two rules above and you will enjoy being a myloter while also cash-ing in some money every month. PS: reading guidelines would be a great bonus for you and your performances here ..

I started a discussion because one of my friends, who I really have not problem with except for this one little issue, would write "I don't like science fiction" when I would start a discussion about one of my favorite subjects - science fiction. I wrote (boiled down to a nutshell) - if you DON'T like a topic, don't bother to come to it and say "I don't like it," just take a pass. know what - that time it WORKED! I agree that if you can't add to a discussion you shouldn't bother responding - however, I will also respond if I can think if a funny response, if I think the person I'm doing it with will like it.

If the answer / comment is funny / joke, I think is adding good value to discussion. I think a bit of humor - even on very serious moments - can not harm, eventually help people to stay sane in the middle of pain, sufferance or sadness. Ah, yes, not to forget: Sci-Fi rulz!!!

There is where you do things wrong: you care to much about earning and to little about PARTICIPATING to discussions. Everything in this site is about discussions. Pay attention, are not posts, are not topics, are not forum threads. Are discussions. You are not paid for the numbers of words / lines / posts you manage to write. You are paid for naturally participate into a debate (discussion) which have a topic, a starting post and a thread (or more). So, care more about WHAT and HOW you do, instead of WHY you do. Sure, this will mean you will feel not to answer to so many discussions because you will start answering only to those you are really interested, you know the subject or you are eager to learn about. This mean you will do what is written on red section of attached picture from this discussion starting post: answer only if you can add something. And trust me, the quality of your answers / comments will be bigger.

Yes,you are right we have to post quality contents. When I was new very new here I thought I get paid for every post I made, but I knew I was wrong. One day I posted only few high quality responses, but I was surprised I earned more than I expected.Another day I was tired so I posted very low quality posts, but they were many.I was surprised my earnings didn't increase that much.I realized we have to make more quality contents because mylot does not pay for every post we make but for our performance.

Thanks for the tip wmraul, and myLot should be comended for paying more for high quality answers, instead of paying equally to trolls and whatnot surging through the internet.

I am sure mylot have a clean algorithm which sure make the difference. I will not talk about that as I know is forbidden by rules, but is my 6-th sense that's telling me they do care about making a difference between quality posts and trolling stuff.

Hi I am very new to mylot and I have no clue what to do to earn a little extra cash. The website looks interesting but it is a lot of info and i'm so confused. I could really use some extra help. This post you put up was helpful but I'm still confused because I didn't know what red and white part your were talking about. Please explain a little more. Thank you.

Thanks for the helpful post. I agree that you must really read the post and know something about the matter to provide a valauble answer, one that will earn you some money. I have ben on Mylot since it first started, taking breaks every now and then. And I have actually cashed out several times. It's only around $10 per month but every little bit helps.

Thanks for reminding. I normally read and then take part in the discussion. Also, most of the time, I only touch the topics where I am sure of it or feel like commenting. Only lacking from my side is I never put myLot code here, because I am mostly concentrate on the topic and will not care to put a code. However, I will be much bothered on the codes while writing. Regards, Thank-s

Well, is not a big deal. With or without the emoticons, if an answer is on topic or similar and add something to discussion value, is welcome and for sure get paid. The issue is - and people sometime forget - that answering to a discussion is not a obligation, but a choice. Like you said: if you are sure of it or if you just feel like doing it.

I hear what your saying.. but I disagree slightly. Why not respond to discussions that do not interest you? they still get you to earn? Just because the discussion or the topic isn’t something that would interest me, doesn’t mean I cant leave a comment and therefore earn. I mean there are people who just ask really mind numbing questions over and over again and they don’t even care about the answers because they don’t even reply to ONE of the comments left!! But yet, when I answer, I’m earning! :)

100% agree, yet there are two small issues. First is that this is a discussion I was hoping will be filled with answers from myloters with under 200 next to nickname. They should start with easy stuff .. Second is that that first part is in guidelines. So I just quoted. And is preferable to avoid answering where the subject is something you do not know or - worse - is something you do not like (I say "you" but I mean not you), then not answering is a way to avoid flames ...

Wow! It is really important to be descriptive as possible because no one will be going to respond your discussion if it is not interesting. Sometimes, I started a discussion, after a day, I looked on it if it has a lot of response. If it had only few response, I'm really sad because it means that it is not interesting. For me, I'm not really minding on my rating. I really make sure that my post has a good quality and exciting. What's the used of having a good or high rating but your post is not having a good quality. I admit I am really good in grammar and vocabulary yet I still try to post here. It is one way of improving my writing skills. It is okay for me if you would respond my post and tell me that it's a wrong grammar. I would to hear that because it can help me a lot to correct my English. To my fellow mylotters who are just new to this site, just follow the above recommendations to increase your earnings.

hi there! i am a new member about a week ago and i am really trying my best here in mylot. honestly i skipped reading the guidelines because it was a lengthy one. it's not that i dislike reading but because i am lazy. lol! but i got to read it few minutes ago when i read your discussion then good for me to have been following the rules and not violating any rule since i was a member. i was confident enough that my recruiter told me things that i should do here in mylot so i just skipped it when i sign up here. thanks to mr. JPSO!:) thank you for putting this up as a discussion this served to me as a reminder. thanks senior for reminding us new members. Godbless! :)
