I think it is usual that we tends to get bored after doing the same routine daily. Try to add some new things into your routine, and i am sure it will refresh you. If you don't have the ideas, try to discuss it with your hubby. I am sure he will gives you some ideas. Whenever i am bored with the same routine, i always discuss and ask my hubby for some ideas. After all, a healthy home is made from the combination of two individuals.

Ninety percent of our life is spent on routines but they could be made interesting by using the 'permutations and combinations' formula. Doing things in a different way is what I am arriving at. Take for example eating your eggs. Keep changing the way you make them. This is just one example.

Hello Allknowing,
Eating your eggs hahaha.
Thats right to do routine work in different styles is the best way to overcome boredom as i also don't find time to invlove myself in other things therefore its the best way i also think to change over my mood.

i am only guessing sjvg, obviously, but it sounds to me like the real problem here is you are bored with your job. i can't claim expertise in this area, but my advice is look at learning a skill that would enable you to move on to a more interesting job at some point, whatever it may be. there are a lot of people who once their children are grown change careers and turn what was once an interesting hobby into something that earns money.

Hello Francesca,
Thats true my friend as all of us who are employed give around 1/3rd time of the day to job and when we feel that job is boring we must try to find a job which we find suitable and interesting for us thats what i am doing and planning to change the job.

They said it is not good to jump from one job to another job but for me if you got no feeling to do the same routine again and over again, no point to stay and better find the way out of there but make sure we got the job first before we quit otherwise it will only bring bad result.(^^)

I know what you mean about getting bored with the monotony of life. Sometimes it can be very redundant! That is the very reason I left my old job. I was doing the same exact thing every day. I was very good at it, but extremely bored with it. I felt like I was a robot, doing the same thing over, and over, and over. No one wants to feel like that because after a while, they stop feeling needed. Anyhow, I have been in my current position at work for a little over a year now and love it! I never do the same thing from day to day. I have the same responsibilities as I always have, but there are so many of them that sometimes I'll only do the same thing once in a month. It's kind of hard to explain specifically what I do that makes it so exciting and challenging, but it's definitely a good thing. If you're bored in your daily routines, maybe you could try donating some of your time to a charity or helping others in some way. Or maybe you need a new hobby? There are plenty of things to do and get involved in that you can use to help break things up for you. I hope you find whatever it is you're looking for, and I surely hope my ideas have helped you! Please do keep me updated as to what new thing(s) you find to occupy your time and make things more exciting for you...I will return to this discussion to check up on you, my friend, so I hope you have success! Take care and have a wonderful day!!

If you're bored at work, that's a good reason to change up your daily routine a bit (if you can, although at work you might not be able to). I have so much variety in my day at work that I don't have much to worry about there, but of course, my old job was extremely boring. I know exactly how you feel, and I hope you have the job you love very soon!

If you need some new thing then create some for your self. Stay with the same routine and add some new things to it. Honestly said whatever we do when we do it daily we will surely get bored with it but with a little changes by removing old things or adding the new one it will give you different feels. All of us- you , me and others do the same thing everyday and we do feel bored with it sometimes so whenever I feel so I will try to make some change and then back to normal. Truly said I really hate to do the same thing everyday but got no choice. We will do the same thing but we can make it different in our own ways.(^^)

hello,
Why not do some exercise and do some shopping? don't be locked in everything that you are doing right now. You must enjoy life in your own way. You must be creative in your time. In that way you will not get bored? I mean all things in this world are really awesome. Try it. Explore everything.

Hello Tina,
Exercise i don't like and don't get time to do.
Shopping don't get time to do it and also don't like to waste money.
But definitely i will have to explore something else which interest me through which i would be able to kill this boredom which suddenly has entered in my life.

Hmmm...I do heard from a friend of mine that repetitive and routine tasks also gives stress to life. You really should try out some new or different tasks to avoid having a routine. I believe that variety in life is the key to living. Also, it keeps you sharp, adaptable and flexible once you are exposed to varied environment and situations. Routine keeps you bored and mindless of what you are doing due to its repetitive nature. I suggest you do some hobby that can deviate from your routine. Maybe try out some sports or do some crafts. It will give you something different out of your daily routine. Or even simple things like modifying how you give your kiddies a bath or how you sleep can make a difference to never get you bored of your daily routine.

Hello AG,
Everything is accepted if i get time to do these but when i don't get the time to do it what to do.
simple things like modifying how you give your kiddies a bath or how you sleep can make a difference to never get you bored of your daily routine. These things may be done and i think these can be effective to kill boredom from daily routine.hehehe

I am self-employed and no two days are ever the same. I always have the choice of many jobs each day, except when I have a rush order I have to fill. Then I have no choices until I've gotten it taken care of. Still, some things are routine, like mealtimes and going to the post office almost daily and working at my computer most of the rest of the time. On Saturdays I go to Farmers market and do other shopping. Although my routine allows for variety, I really miss it and feel disoriented when I travel, and it takes me a couple of days to settle back into my routine after I get home.

@ Warwolf OH but i am married and have 2 kids. Don't speak about GF if my wife will listen to it she will throw me out of the house.hehehe
@ AG I also think BF/GF just add some tension to your life as there are lot of commitments which are needed to fulfilled and most of the time people don't be able to fulfill those and the relationship becomes a stressful then.AG you might have experienced it thats why you know it hehehe

Is that so? Maybe I should get one to color out my life! Or is it the opposite? Having a boyfriend or girlfriend can give you a routine at hand compared to having a lot of other flings around. Plus, sometimes, committing with a person tends to bore you out and exhaust you of seeing that person day to day. Well, it really depends on the kind of person that you will get as a boyfriend or girlfriend. If he/she can put a variety and something different in your daily life then it will be nice. But please do take note that from the look of it, our topic starter sjvg1976 can be already married and have kids. So looking for a boyfriend will be way out of line and is not an option. Or maybe you are trying to say just a friend?

The same thing every day...yes that can get boring and tedious to really say a lot of the time. It just seems like I can go through my day blindfolded on some days. That is how pat the routine can get from time to time. If you can do it blind folded, then you pretty much know that you are stuck in quite the rut to say the very least.
I do think that switching up the order of things slightly when I can is going to really help me get a lot of things in life done. Of course, there are going to only be a slight change from the monotony. Still when you have such a boring and routine day, any change might shake some things up to do something. Still there are times where routine can be a good thing, although it doesn't make it any less boring.

Sorry my friend that life is quite a routine for you these days and yes I have found that for the last almost two years it has been nothing but a routine for me too. Most days I feel like a robot where I am programmed with what will occur each and every day.
At some point we do have to strive to make a few adjustments, for now my friend being that your twins are quite young there is not a whole lot you can do for now to change it but with time you will be able to add a few more different things to yet your newer found routines.

Hello HWG,
Thats right these days as my kids are small and are dependent on me and my wife for almost everything may be thats why i am not getting much time to spend for myself.I think once my kiddies will grow up and will do their things on their own i will get some time to add some new things in my routine and will be able to get over this boredom.

That is our life. But weekends are there for you. Enjoy the fullest in the weekends. Working 9 - 10 hours is really bad. Find some work which requires only 6-7 hours of work. Then you will be spending half of you life in office.

hi, we all get bored at one time or other. Try to find sometime for yourself which will pamper you like you said mylotting refreshes. Take your kids to a near by park or take them for a walk. Gather all family members before 5 minutes at the dinner table and share some funny news/ jokes/ humor etc. Though we have our own routine but remember everyday is a new day and we have certain roles to play. So be happy and go out for a dinner / lunch with your spouse for a change......

hi there! we share the same feelings i am bored of doing the same stuffs everyday but i do not have kids i am not married yet. the first few weeks after i have graduated was fine then i got to study and review my lessons to be prepared to take some licensure exams then after that i passed the exam and i am back to lazy days again i would wake up clean the house, cook food then open mylot account to earn here and enjoy then clean again then cook then i sleep then the next day the same thing again. what i do with my whole week is that i would go out sometimes do window shopping. i watch movie in the movie house and enjoy my time with friends or by myself. you can do that too. spend 1 day of a week to enjoy yourself even with kids. :)
