When i try to delete this video file it says 'Could not find this item. This is no longer located in C:\users\****. Verify the items location and try again'. The size of the file is around 300mb and now it is 0mb and what ever I do I can't delete it. I never experienced this in windows xp. I tried several ways to delete it using DOS or even renaming the filename but nothing seems to work. I can't even change the file's attribute. Have you experienced this too?

Hi Jacru
I don't think it is a bug. MR Gates would not allow such mistake exists.
It is probably that your computer was injected, you should try the anti-virus software. Maybe it will works, but i am not sure. After all i didn't experience such situation.
Could you let me know the reason after you solve it, i am curious about such problems.
Thank you....

I believe it's a bug. I found many forum sites and people keep on asking for a solution to this. There is a solution made by people in a forum but I can't figure out how to do the steps and some tricks. It's purely on using DOS command but I can't get it done I have problems with the dir /x command.

If can only delete files if you are the administrator but if not then you can't delete files. I suggest use an administrator account to delete your files thats all.

I've had this problem, when files have got corrupted. Sometimes, as well, files I've successfully deleted stay up on the document list, then when I try to open them the same message comes up you've got. It's like they get cached away somewhere I can't get to them!

I had a same problem on my Vista. Couldn't delete a simple file after I uninstall a program. No matter how many times I tried to delete it, it says it wasn't located. Eventually I was able to finally delete. I downloaded a program called CCleaner. It's a great program to clean up your computer. The problem was I had to delete the registry of that program. Once I deleted it, the file was gone. You should try it, though I recommend to do an analyze scan first and try to see if the video file is there. If it is then uncheck everything except the video file and CCleaner should be able to delete it for you. CCleaner is free so I recommend doing that.

It means that the file is already deleted just refresh the browser or if it does not help just restart the computer you shall not be seeing the file again...good luck.

I also experienced this problem, either XP, Vista or Seven. But eventually, it will get removed automatically, I just don't understand how. I even tried deleting via Malwarebytes FileASSASSIN, but still, it doesn't work. I suggest you just forget it, if it doesn't eats up reso on your system.
