just got home from my niece's(5 year old) school.it's their intramural. Me and her mom went and attended the said event but her mom needed to leave early because she has work..At the last part of the event their teacher told them to bring their Mom / Dad to the center and their going to play..It's a parent and child activity..Then my niece turned and look at me sadly so i volunteered to be her guardian.Actually, that was the first time i joined a relay or a school activity and i enjoyed it!!hahaha..

Such school events matter to kids, especially young kids. Your niece is fortunate to hv you as her aunt.:)

thanks for that..Actually sometimes, feel pity for my niece coz' her parents now are separated and not in good terms..And they sometimes forgot about their kid's welfare..don't blame them because they are still young and they got married very young..that's why we (me and family and relatives) make sure to give all our attention to my niece..;)

Well, Aunts and Uncles could be a substitute mother or father in case they are not their for their children. That's our role to our nieces and nephews -their second parents .
