If so which publishing brands produce the best PC gaming guides and why? In your experience are free unofficial strategy guides that other players created on the web just as good as the official guides or not? Pleae share your experiences. Thanks.

My husband pretty much had a strategy guide for every game he owned. He had a massive collection. It was like his goal to own every game in the world or something lol. If he didnt have the strategy guide he would look it up online. I am not a gamer so I dont collect guides. Personally I like reading books and wouldnt want to read ebooks because I cant hold the book right in my hands so I'm guessing most gamers would prefer strategy guides in person then the free ones they can view online.

Exactly. I like the book to be in my hands. Don't get me wrong, sometimes I look up gaming hints and cheat codes online but I always prefer to have a book in my hand. Do you know what I mean? There is something about the ebooks I don't really like. It's just not the same as having a book in your hand. Books have more in depth details rather than some flimsy strategy guide online. That's just my experience.
